What is the quality of the grip v3 lights Like? I have the v2 and although they look good from a distance, the quality of the ones I received wasn’t great and I spent a lot of time trying to improve them.
I never had an issue with the V2 quality, only the brightness of the lights. The V3 are significantly brighter, so I'm very happy about that.Went to Brands Hatch yesterday as Circuit-Days were doing a trackday there on the Indy Circuit. Unfortunately I had to get on with work in the afternoon, so so could only stay for the morning.
It was very very slippery, here's a little video of me discovering how little grip there was on my second lap out...

Amazing how your relatively minor mods have made this Exige look so much more special than the standard car! Lotus should implement these changes for the production model!! :-)
Incidentally, what's the insurance like on a mod'd Exige?
In fairness to them, they have, the new Exiges look a lot nicer from the factory. Just a shame they're stupid money as a result of it...Incidentally, what's the insurance like on a mod'd Exige?
I set up a fleet policy for all the cars in my family (9 cars) with a good insurance company, so as a result it was £950 this year with mods declared.

Thats not actually too bad! I guess the risks for these sorts of cars is actually quite difficult to assess as on one hand they are driven by enthusiast owners who look after their car, and probably have a fair level of driving skill and hazard awarness and on the other hand it's a lightweight, ultra high performance mid engineed rwd car, that is relatively difficult to drive (relative being the operative word)Have just stumbled across this thread for the first time, what a fantastic job you've done on that car (obviously your snaps aren't too bad either but that's to be expected )
Personally the yellow diamond stitching in the doors is maybe a touch much and keeping the diamond but black stitched would have been my preference, but either way wow, it's so nice to see fancier cars being modified, yours is comfortably the best looking Exige I've seen, and certainly interior modifications are an incredibly hard thing to get right.
Will enjoy keeping up with this thread now

I may have a Mercedes C-Class, but it's more fun to collect the Christmas tree in the Exige. Lots of thumbs up and smiles when we were driving around with it on the roof. Little video here:

As I've owned the car 3 years now and done a lot of mods, it seemed a good time to make a video about the car and the journey.
Hope you guys enjoy!

Hi GF Williams,
beautiful car - very inspiring! I'd like to fit an e-dash to my 430, but the only one I've found so far has two buttons on the exterior of the cowling - and I don't want to have to cut holes in the carbon cowling that comes with the car. I've noticed your e-dash doesn't have those exterior buttons. Would you mind sharing the make and model details?
thanks!
