Looks awesome that, congrats. It will be some sight on the roads in the UK that!

Sorry to semi hi-jack with the below.

I'm currently looking at the feasibility of selling my 2014 Charger SRT overseas. Not looking to profit from it, but just get what I deem a realistic value for the car. The used car market in the UAE is pretty slow at the moment, so looking at options.

A similar Charger SRT is on PH at the moment at an asking price of 30k. I think I could let mine go for closer to 20k (excluding shipping costs). Has to be worth looking at.

Apologies. Just posing the question rather actively doing anything.

No idea why my post showed twice though.

Great car choice, I will of had my hellcat 2 years next week (8th Jan).

I have no regrets buying this car its an absolute pleasure to drive and a lot of fun!

If I can give you any tips it would be this:

1. Dont let the brake pads run down and score the discs/rotars as they are 2k for a pair and getting shipping from the USA to the UK from all mainstream car parts companies is a total nightmare.

2. Dont let anyone drive it who you dont know 100% will respect the power of the car, this car is insane and a big heavy lump to throw around for an inexperienced driver. It will hit speed so quickly you could get a ban in the blink of an eye.

3. If it didnt come with a warranty pay for a private one. The aircon went on mine after 3 months (common fault of 2015 hellcat and a recall situatation for the USA) with no warranty your on your own. Sourcing the parts in the USA was a nightmare and getting a garage to do the job was too.

4. Enjoy it! smile

If you have any questions about the car then let me know I may be able to help.

All the best!

Hi Matt, Had been paying £1000 per year with classic car insurance, just switched to A-Plan insurance and paying £630 per year (7,000 miles per year allowance which is ok as I dont use it as an every day driver).

www.rockauto.com

Fast, inexpensive service to the UK for US auto parts.

Used them for years and would highly recommend.

Fantastic resource!! And as my discs/rotars are still in coventry customs (have been since 14th December) I may order some from them as backups!. It seems way to cheap to be honest. Will try contact them to confirm the discs as it seems they discs they have are 340mm and the HC is 390mm looks like the listed ones might only fit the 392 or SRT8.

Still a fantastic find, thank you will certainly be looking into them for my parts smile

Very jealous! Any videos?

Rockauto is a great site, used them many a time. Mainly because they use a simple, expanding menu system and have an incredibly extensive list of parts. Compare that to many other parts suppliers who only do basics and the site is littered with huge photos and graphics in the interests of aesthetics.

Rockauto - will bare them in mind.

That new hood scoop looks good !

I've not had much chance to drive the car since I got it, but now I'm taking it to Sweden via Amsterdam. Should be a good chance to get to know it. Though I already know the pedal on the right doesn't need much pressure to reach silly speeds smile
