Good to see these Imps.

I raced one, ex Greg Masters gold car, in pre '65 saloons in the early '80's, this was later re-shelled to a blue body and sadly I wrote off at Lydden Hill, hitting the bank having run wide just before the start/finish line. Later, with the remains having been dragged back to the pits, someone turned up with my windscreen which had popped out at the point of impact, flown over the bank and somehow landed intact. I loved racing the Imp, it was so chuck-able and easy to slide on road tyres.

After the Imps I purchased a Davrian, a wholly different proposition. I have a real soft spot for Imps and all their derivatives. I will post a few pictures when I get a chance.

Racing my first Imp, around 81/82, somewhat overenthusiastically at times!

Had the original car out at the Imp club trackday at Goodwood recently …… great fun seeing them all together, and a few photos for the record.
