I’m assuming these are rear wheel drive? I honestly didn’t think they ever raced them, only pic I’ve ever seen was some old motorshow shot when it must’ve just been released.
Yep:

Transverse mounted as per the road car but in the back with a Sadev sequential gearbox on the end. I'm expecting it to be very 911 in it's handling as it's very rear bias....... which obviously is no bad thing as far as I'm concerned laugh

The race car developed from the concept car, firstly the 20CUP 3 wheeler which then became the Spider concept which was produced but only as this racing car.

Awesome! Saw one of these at French car show at Castle Combe. Looked great going round the track.

Just done first fire up and all is well. Gear shift servo works a treat, even down to the original Pug OBD still detecting if the valves are open circuit so that's nice.

Few missing Dzus fasteners to sort next and it's about ready to have a shakedown!

Things are progressing well with the Pug, considering it's very much a part time thing!

Back end is back together with the stays etc. tweeked to close up the gaps in the bodywork and stop it panting.

Also carbon'd up the rear gurneys for extra cool points:

Motor and box have had a big service and no issues apparent there so looking good, the motor is super clean inside but then it's only done 40 hours so it should be smile It's all looking a bit cleaner and more looked after in the back now:

The shift system upgrade has worked out well, it's a bit of a fittings collection to get the pressure sensor in (I can't change it for a different spec one as I don't have access to the GCU to calibrate it) but machining up a block to do it would only save one joint and would be a bit OTT for this, it's not an F1 after all!

Just a few bits left and I can set it up. I have a couple of sets of Michelin slicks but may switch to the BTCC Dunlops if I can squeeze them on..... especially as I can buy them used for not a lot of money.

Absolutely!!!

That 207 is possibly the coolest Pug track car Ive ever seen, close call with the 405 pikes peak car.

Someone needs to buy that so we can have a PH two car team smile

It's a really nice car and in good condition. I'd have had that one if mine hadn't become available.

Yes exactly the same but red, it's an evolution version with 225bhp and raced with mine in the last season of THP. It's a good car - seriously someone should buy it so we can two car team in OSS biggrin

Dam you poppopbangbang!!!!!

Your the reason I am wasting my life away on Pistonheads. Another topic bookmarked. Does this mean the 996 will be taking a back seat for a while?

Made me chuckle when you wrote nonchalantly oh it’s an easy job to rewrite the loom. Yeah like we all posses the skills to do it.

Looking forward to the updates.

I love these cars. My old MD's Son David Moulton used to race these, so I had many a chance to sit in, and dribble over his. He was quite successful from memory, something to do with the series involved him being able to drive the Peugeot 908 Le Mans car through Testing or something similar as a result of his championship standing. Very capable machines, sound nice too!
