Spent the last couple of days in my new unit changing the flywheel out for the lightened one. It was a right pig to get the 6speed box in and out! After lots of swearing we got it done Just got to order a new oil pressure switch as i accidentally snapped the wire. Then all should be good. Thanks for the comments on tne wheels as well
Haven’t updated this for a couple of weeks so here goes. Me and a few mates went up to Snetterton last Sunday purely to specate, what a bad idea that was! We ended up joining on for the afternoon session, I only had standard Brembo pads on as I didn’t plan on doing a trackday just yet. Safe to say i completely cooked them! Other than the brakes the car felt amazing, AD08R’s are incredible! So i’ve got the car up in the air in the unit ready for when the brakes arrive, whilst i’m at it i’ve put new track rod ends on, new brakes shields and all associated nuts and bolts. I’ll leave a few pictures below from the day

The Lupo is a fab looking thing, like a little red running shoe on those gunmetal OZs. They look so low and squat compared to other small hot hatches like the Abarth 500.
Is the widebody Golf with the huge yellow 6-pot brakes yours too? Think that deserves a thread as well if so! Is that a 24v VR6 of some description I can spy in it?
Haha never heard someone say the before, cheers! Is the widebody Golf with the huge yellow 6-pot brakes yours too? Think that deserves a thread as well if so! Is that a 24v VR6 of some description I can spy in it?
The Golf is my brothers, it was originally an R32. It’s now got the Passat R36 engine in it, with a turbo as well!
After ruining the brakes at Snett last week I had to decide what to go for next. I decided on EBC Ultimax discs with Ferodo DS2500’s, figured this would make a really good road setup and good enough for a few track days. Bedded them in yesterday and tested them today, safe to say they feel incredible, initial bite and pedal feel has improved massively! Can’t recommend them enough.
No major updates as of late, recently had the gearbox fully rebuilt and refreshed as the 3rd gear Synchro decided to die!
Going to the Ring on July 20th so that should be fun, other than that not a lot has happened. Just been enjoying driving the car???? Oh I also done a couple of spontaneous evening sessions at Snett, the car performed absolutely brilliantly again, amazes me everytime!
I raced a mates Clio 200 the other day, fair to say it was a lot closer than we thought, i’ll leave the video down below for anyone interested.

Is this the flywheel you bought, and is yours a 6 speed or 5 speed?

No real updates just a few pictures, been out enjoying the car loads lately while the weather has been nice!
Also, i'm looking for a reputable company who can do a custom map once my head and cams are in. I can't seem to find anyone willing to do the Lupo GTI who I would trust. If anyone has any recommendations or someone you have used and trust that would be great!
Thanks!
