No major upgrades to the car of recent, just been enjoying it racking up plenty of miles.

Me and the missus done a Wales road trip a few weeks ago, started down south and ended up at Anglesey for a trackday! What an incredible weekend and both cars were perfect!

Since that I attended the Players Classic show and I was lucky enough to get on to track at the historic Goodwood circuit, that was an experience I’ll never forget. Certainly not a great track for the Lupo as it’s a power track but still had a great time none the less.

I’ve also had the genuine Lupo Cup OZ’s refurbed and the ATS DTC to freshen them up. The ATS’s are my favourite for sure but I had the OZ’s on for a short time and also loved the look of the car, looks like my version on the Cup cars. I think I’ll use those over winter and save the ATS for summer.

Nothing overly exciting has happened to the car as of late, done an evening session at Snetterton recently which was a huge success, the best the car has ever felt for sure.

I’ve just fitted the latest version of the Sprogley Motorsport airbox, this time it’s 3D printed with Carbon infused material so the finish is just incredible.

I also bought another set of wheels, I used to have a set of 15” OZ Ultraleggera’s and I always regretted selling them. Seeing them on my partners car made me want another set so I finally bought my first ever set of brand new wheels! They look amazing, wrapped in Nankang AR1’s ready for a Nürburgring trip on 23rd August for a week smile

I think I need to speak to Sprogley Motorsport about seeing if they can adapt one of these air boxes for my swift as starting to get to hot on summer days now. How many sets of wheels do you have now lol
I’m sure he can do something for you, drop them a message!

Only 3 sets now haha!

Back from another very successful Nürburgring trip, me and my partner went over for 6 days this which is the longest we have gone for. We took both the Lupo and the Polo. We arrived on Wednesday, got everything ready then done a couple a of steady laps in the evening to familiarise ourself with the place again. It definitely didn’t go to plan though, I noticed Tora (my girlfriend) drop off the pace a lot behind me to the point I slowed down so much and she still wasn’t catching so obviously I start to worry, I get to the end of the lap and wait, she finally calls me to say something is seriously wrong with the Polo. She limped it off the track and I noticed immediately the drivers side wheel was toe’ing out a bunch. I got it jacked up to instantly notice the wishbone had snapped in half and was hanging on by the smallest amount of metal. She was very very lucky, she said she was inches from hitting a barrier. The wishbone had rotten from inside out, it visually looked fine. Turns out it is a very common problem with these that I didn’t know about before. So I got on the phone to the Crown Performance and they said they could get a wishbone for first thing in the morning, that arrived and I fitted it then they done a geometry setup on it to get it back to its best. Luckily that was the only issues we had all weekend.

The Lupo was incredible all week, I done around 23 laps in total, without any issues other than a failed oil temp sender unit.

I say it all the time but if you have never been, please make sure it’s on your to do list. Even if you don’t drive the track, the place is just incredible. I’ll leave a load of photos below smile

Well it really has been far too long since I last updated this but i've had a bit of time off from cars over winter. No recent upgrades as the car is 99% exactly where I want it.

I managed to get in one trackday before I put the car away for a couple of months, this time was at Oulton Park. My first time there and what an incredbile circuit, almost my favorite closely behind Cadwell.

I decided to treat myself to a new daily too, I've always liked the BMW F series so I went and picked up this 2014 F31 316d touring. Makes for the perfect daily and plenty of spae for any possible car part collections!

I'm getting right back into it now after a bit of a break, although I wont be doing any Nurburgring trips this year, I have just booked a trackday at the awesome Zandvoort in Holland for 1st June! I'll leave some random pics below.

I did Zandvoort in March, you will LOVE it. It really works for our powered cars and the handling. If you've not booked anywhere I recommend the centre parcs hotel. 2 minutes from track (you can see it from your room) and fuel on site isnt badly priced. Honestly up with one of my fave tracks now.

As for the ring I am having a year off also and I am not missing it the place isnt the same.

I see that a certain someone is off with lots of other lads at the ring so hope your well after all of that smile
I have heard that a few times now so it should be mega fun in the Lupo!

I agree, it’s changed loads since I first went 5 years ago and definitely preferred it back then.

Haha yeah, no comment on that! But I’m all good cheers!

The latest little change for the Lupo, I decided the exhaust was a tad loud (must be getting old) so went and see my mate at Motion Fabrication to have a bigger centre resonator fitted. It now sound exactly how I wanted it, still sounds great on full chat but hardly any drone in the car at 70mph. Also is a really nice balance of intake/exhaust noise. I’ll leave a quick clip below smile
