I am the proud new owner of this car. If anyone happens to find out anything about it or knows of a previous owner etc please feel free to inbox me.
Enjoy it! Missing it. These cars are a real event every time you press the start button. End of an era.Ninjacj said:
Wow , a certainly lovely and very rare spec car. Loved the plate too! I've just joined the M113k club, how did you find those G-paddles? Just wondered if they would feel a bit 'cheap' being plastic not aluminium?
They felt ok to me - vast improvement on the OE plastic buttons, and not overly large and silly looking. Aluminium would be better but they're a 3 dimensional part soe wouldn't be cheap to make. Bit fiddly to fit levering the switch apart but worth doing.
M113K Klub - welcome. The clubhouse (excellent sausage rolls btw) is over there by the Shell sign
Had it less than 24hrs and the altenator went... oh the joys of expensive cars 😂. So a genuine exchange bosh unit, and a new drive belt and supercharger belt. Now as it should be. No more belt chirp from cold start. You can now fully appreciate the sound without it sounding like a 250k transit. New drivers side rear door ashtray as it was broken. Also lubricated the sunroof guides as it was struggling with the one touch feature (opening it back up sensing too much resistance). Now as it
Should be too. Absolutely amazing car to drive. Put some led number plate lights in. New boot trim as it was cracked, mercedes-benz boot liner. Removed the optimate as i preffer a cleaner boot. Will use it if cars stood for a while (hopefully not). Interior now exactly as it should be. No broken bits.
Truly stunning. Found a few bits and bobs to do to get the car to my ridiculously high standards. Will keep updating them as i go along.

Yeah, sorry about the alternator - there were no signs it was going to fail, honest - your text the day after sale was a bit embarrassing. Not a terrible list of faults overall apart from the alternator - glad there was nothing else too mission critical.
Nice that you’ll continue the story!

Its not your fault mate sh*t happens, im not blaming you by no means, happy to have the car back. Went out for a nice drive the other night. Its fast. Like seriously quick. Admittedly i did need to also stop at a petrol station.... again
MOT, no advisories.
New O/S press in hub ball joint as mot tester found a minimal amount of lift not even worth advising. (Nearside already done)
4 wheel alignment (front and rear toe) had been previously been set up as a non AMG. Surprisingly all adjustment point were free and easy moving.
Balanced all 4 wheels.
Replaced the fuel cap with genuine Mercedes one (string broken) and seeing as i spend so much time filling up nice to see it right.
New Bosch 010 Charge cooler pump and
New Lemforder Rear gearbox mount
Along with a new undertray fitting kit so that they are all secure.
Decided to go with the current Bosch pump as its a direct fit with no modifications. Both done just as preventative maintenance.
Both really easy to do, but even with hose clamps you will get wet!
Had a few small things to do recently... few Parktronic sensors gone down, one front, one rear. Rear can be done in place fronts need bumper removal.
Replaced with genuine Mercedes/Bosch units. so now the Parktronic is all back up and working correctly.
Few clips replaced and two new hella front foglights as one was cracked.
Needs a good clean now.
One last battle now. TPMS not working due to not having any TPMS sensors fitted, so off to find a set of sensors and then have them coded.
Anyone ever bothered retrofitting an MB digital tv tuner to replace the analogue system?

Still missing it? Ive been speaking to Alex he’s been going through what he had done to it and made me an offer on it to buy it back as well. Vossens : as far as I can work out Alex fitted them while he had it and sold the OEM 5 spoke wheels with TPMS fitted, then removed the Vossens before advertising the car - he then bought and refurbed another correct OEM set that are now on the car but they didn't come with TPMS.
One big regret - I didn't video the noise! It's one of those cars that you genuinely can't believe you own, if that makes sense. Not the most expensive, not the fastest, but just an amazing car that would always make you smile - even stuck in traffic. With unlimited funds and more undercover space it would still be right here.
