That's a lovely looking car!

Are you based in Warwick? I noticed you are at Matt's. Seeing as I live around the corner I was wondering if I could check out your wings in the flesh; I'm debating getting a set of wings for mine and CF ones haven't been disregarded, like the GSR items you have. Their fitment however is a concern for me from having previous FG/pattern parts smile.
Im not in Warwick, I live in Nottingham just been to Matts as he's the guy for suspension. If you want perfect OEM fit then GSR aren't for you, also they have stopped making CF ones now, i think i got the last set. Collecting the car from him tomorrow evening.

I would have been one of the 'Leave it standard' posters early on, but I would have been wrong! That looks fantastic, really menacing!

Some nice quality components too!

Tim

PS: If you strip out the interior, can I have the after market Double din please. :-)
thank you!

Love it, as most people have also admitted (though I have a greater interest as I’ve also got an M3). What’s the noise like with the GSR exhaust? Somewhere between loud and ridiculous? I guess it can’t be that bad if you’re tracking it, or are you backing off passing the sound meter?
its actually not that loud at all. Its just a nice sound. Donington is very strict and I had no issues! was designed to pass Uk track limits

I was there for the BTCC media public open day on Tuesday. Fellow Nottingham lad here. I seriously considered and e46 m3 after my Porsche Cayman S but opted for a m135i instead I just couldn’t justify the extra cost of an M2.

Great mods by the way loving reading about your progress so far. Hope to see it one day. Do you ever do the cassington water bmw meet. I know there was also a big bmw meet at chatsworth house (derby) last year.
sweet, what were you doing there? i do miss the m2. Never been to any BMW meet but would be up of going to a good one. Chatsworth would be nice.

Very cool car, looking good.

Didn't know titanium studs were a 'thing'.

Is it just about saving unsprung weight/rotational inertia?

We've had concerns about galvanic corrosion of titanium in the presence of steel, I wouldn't have thought titanium studs were a great plan?

OP, check them regularly. The problem is any corrosion is probably not going to be visible without taking the stud out, but they really aren't the 2 best metals to mix.

I've been in a car when a wheel came off. It wasn't funny.

Well, it was later on, not at the time though!
I'll definitely research this. Titanium nuts and studs seem pretty common on high end stuff in Japan.

Heres a video of a lap I did. I need to be much smoother and learn the track but I'm pretty new to track driving.

I have asked that same question twice already and have been ignored both times so I will answer your question for you.

It was £1,490 delivered and both myself and my friend bought one. They make them to order and it takes roughly 8 weeks, although I was lucky that they actually had two in stock as they get a few made up when someone orders one.

I don't know if it was intentional in this case but there does seem to be a widespread element of secrecy around price paid for things on forums in general which is pretty ridiculous really - especially on discounts on new cars etc.

It's not a bloody secret and no, you didn't get a once in a lifetime deal that no one else could get rolleyes

Whenever I get a good deal on something I am happy to share it so others may do the same!

It looks well made and is much much lighter than the standard exhaust although I haven't weighed either yet!
lol chill bro, send me a PM if you want any details on pricing etc. I just use this as my build thread so try and keep it tidy. I don't check here often either. Glad you got the exhaust they sound great and are really well made.

You don't accept emails when I tried.

Have you had any issues with noise?

I was with my friend who bought the other one at Donington yesterday and he go black flagged and after the second time they wouldn't let him back on the track. That was with a noise reducer baffle fitted that he bought from the shop too.

It measured 92dB static at Oulton 10 days ago but was 99.8dB on the Donington drive by microphone which got him banned.

Thankfully I hadn't fitted mine yet but I am now concerned about doing so.

I used it at Donington with no issue at all. its pretty quiet until higher RPM but i like it, i don't really want a quiet exhaust as the sound is part of the enjoyment for me. Donington is super strict and weird but i didn't get flagged at all when I went.
