Ticked over 120k miles now. Purchased at around 116k miles. Will be doing another oil and filter change very soon.

My auto lights switch has turned up so will pull the dash apart to fit that. Ebay Chinese special already modified for auto/coming home lights.

The wind deflectors despite their horrible appearance are doing exactly what they're supposed to.

Still need to fit fuel filter, rack ends and tracking adjustment. Tracking is spot on (steering is out of alignment) and the flywheel has started a very slight judder at idle every now and again. (previous owner said clutch would slip every now and then) so it's time to replace those. I'm swaying towards the valeo smf conversion kit at present with a sachs/luk slave.

I was so close to selling for a impreza wrx estate as I could do with the extra room. But I'll continue on with the fabia as it really does cost buttons to run. I've decided I miss my old ignis sport greatly and am now on the lookout for one to use as a weekend/track car. I'll probably upload some pictures tomorrow as it really needs a clean and the fuel filter doing.
Honest question after a mere 4k Miles why would you be looking to offload and change Cars?

Don’t get it that’s for most people 3 month

I sold my ignis sport a few months back. This was offered to me the same weekend for sensible money, I knew the history of the car so seemed a no brainer. I have always fancied a impreza but age has always kept them out of reach insurance wise. Again I was offered one the other week only this time my head over ruled my heart.

When I got the fabia I was adamant it would see 200k miles. Friends really don't help when they offer you cars for cheap money and they just happen to be something I'd love to own at some point.

Could you complete your garage profile here so we can view the cars you’ve had?

Don’t xenons require headlight washers to be legal?
No but....
That is from the factory and they should all have self levelling as standard (not having it is illegal as that's when you blind people).

Fitting xenon's otherwise is still illegal anyway, there is a great clause in the book which basically states that as long as you use all the parts from the factory and have them fitted as per factory (and adjusted etc), then you can fit them, its a get around clause.
The other issue is that all the after market kits are not E marked, that in its own right makes them illegal to use on a road car.

LED's don't require washers but do need to be self levelling, again they fall under the old "its not E marked its not legal" bracket.

I was starting to get carried away looking at a hybrid turbo and front mount intercooler last few days. So in a bid to keep this sensible and reliable. I have put a deposit down on a car to use as a track/weekend/b Road warrior.

It's not seen as a usual choice but those who have driven or owned one they will understand.

Ill put a thread up on it when I pick it up next weekend

So onto this one.

I had a stash of parts to put my own stamp on this fabia but as per other thread I have bought myself a track car.

This will be maintained and upgraded where necessary.

Ive now done the following
Fuel filter change
Oil & filter change
Rack ends and track rod ends
Tracking

Purchased the following ready to fit
Valeo smf conversion
Mtc silicone turbo outlet pipe

Ivegot a few other bits to replace on the intercooler side due to rubber perishing etc...

Next big purchases will be
Shock absorbers
Eibach 25mm springs
New front suspension arms
Console bushes

Sorry for no pics but it hasn't been washed in ages and everything I touched broke! So all hands on deck when working on it

Checking in at 125k miles. Done 9k since I've had it now.

Valeo smf conversion has been fitted now for around 3k miles. Bit noisier bit more clunky feeling. Best way to describe it is you can 'feel' what the clutch is doing now through the pedal.

Had my windows tinted and rear lights done at same time.

Mtc silicone turbo outlet pipe as original is well over £100 from skoda and the lugs have worn. This one is £54.99 and alot easier to stomach

Now the negatives the car has been 'targeted' recently which makes me alittle bit annoyed. The wind deflectors were stolen one night and then two weeks later the fog surrounds were stolen too. Only conclusion I can come to is its someone local with a fabia as they are fabia specific parts and of no real great value. Out of all the cars on my street there's brand new ones and my 13yr old shed is being targeted. Once again I feel it's the type of people that ow own these cars. Definitely fell into chav ownership

This was sold yesterday. I had it 9 months and did 12k relatively trouble free miles. Got a reasonable price for it and off it goes to next owner.

Ill put up a thread for my new daily soon and the latest attempt at a track car.

Thanks
