My car history is long and extensive everything from mk1 escorts(Cosworth engine) to V10 rs6 to a 1971 fiat 500 and everything in between. I have always had a soft spot for the Mitsubishi evo6 after spending many hours watching 80s group b's to McRae in his Subaru and Makkinen in his Evo6.So I bit the bullet and bought my first evo6.
The story of the car is it was left in a showroom in Japan unregistered until 2003
Lightly used And came into the country in 2015 as grade 4.5 car with 36000 miles on it
It then passed ownership To an enthusiast who lavished money on getting it to a near perfect standard . He then wrapped it in Blue as he always wanted a blue Evo.I guess its preserving the paintwork underneath. I plan on a European road trip in it just a bit worried about the mileage going up.

That looks really clean. Great cars. Even better in TME guise.

Yes its pretty tidy. And the red tme would be the cherry on the top but with the same miles and condition I would need 40k

That looks really nice I do like the blue wrap, I've always thought the evo 6 is the best looking evo built.

Looks stunning - beautiful car OP - don't worry about putting miles on it - use it like it was designed for and enjoy it. No point keeping low mileage for the next owner

I'll never forget the first time I went in one of these. Looks awesome.

Drive and drive! Who cares about miles? Memories aren't made with it sat unused. Enjoy!

Looks like an absolute beaut! Best looking Evo they ever did? I think so. Cracking car fella, congrats!

I wouldn't worry about mileage. That car will only go up in value so go out there and enjoy it as much as possible thumbup

Even if you do 2000 miles a year, it will take 5 years to do 10k. At which point it's still a low mileage example.

I've been having the same thoughts about my own car. So you might as well enjoy it, else someone else will.

Several years ago I sold my pristine TVR because I felt I was devaluing it every time I drove it. It wasn't just the mileage, it was stone chips, wear and tear on the leather, grime on the chassis. It was ridiculous and ruined the experience for me. Either enjoy the car and write it off as an investment or stick it in a heated garage and forget about it. Trying to do both will drive you nuts.

Lovely motor by the way....

Geoff’s old car, good buy.

If you’re planning on using it durin the winter months, you’ll have to do some preventative maintenance underneath as it currently has none! It’ll only take one or two winters and the underside will be ruined.

What’s your euro road trip plans?

Here’s mine, where are you located in the UK?

Some great replies.I won't be using it in the winter unless it's a cold dry day.Turbos do work well in the cold. And I think I can afford to put the 2000 miles a year on it.Its would still be a low mileage example at 50k and what with the wrap on protecting the paintwork. As for the road trip off to Germany in April hope for some decent weather but most of all a decent drive.Your red 5 looks great and I am looking forward to some meets local to West Midlands.

Nice to see Geoffs car again, he's well known member on MLR btw. Good to see its actually going to be used, thie is by no means a nasty comment its not the lowest mileage cleanest one out there. Putting it into storage would be a waste, leave that to the car collectors that have a car with sub 10k miles on. As said, the underside is untreated on your car, 1000000% have to keep on top of it. Whether that be jet wash underneath after use, or clear waxoil the underside. They rot like mad from the inside out

Yes I intend to use the car but I will be keeping the mileage low.Geoff has now had 13 evos and he regards this as the cleanest one he has owned.I have seen his others so it's testament to this car. There are very few evo6's out there that are in an unrestored condition and not plastered in thick black underseal as clean. So it would be a crying shame if I don't keep it so during my ownership.
