Looks great! Is it used mainly on the street or does it see the drag strip more?

Those brakes look a little small for containing that much power though!

It's just a street car, never have put it on the track. The brakes are factory Chevrolet and they have no problem stopping the car from it's many high-speed blasts!

I suppose the brakes must be rated to account for the truck being fully loaded, but it must have about 3 times the power it came out of the factory with?
What sort of condition was it in before you started? And how long did that paint take you? You're obviously far more patient than me, I get frustrated then do a bad job...

The brakes are definitely ok for how the car gets used. As far as the paint goes, it was really rough. I ended up finding a passenger fender and both doors because they were so rough. It took me about a year stripping every panel down to bare metal and blocking the car four separate times. The actual paint job took me about week and a half. Color sanding and rubbing it out took took another two weeks. Once that was done, I took out the pinstriping brushes and spent three days pinstriping the flames. LOTS of work...

Absolutely, utterly brilliant work.

Did your Dad know it was for him, or was it a bit of a surprise once it was done?
