That just has to be one of, if not the best example in the world. I presume it didn't cost anything near as much as a Ford.,,

Meraviglioso OP! thumbup

Those Lampredi twin-cam engines are fantastic - they just love high revs!
So I had Top Trump Rally Cars back in the late 70's, and this Fiat could not be beaten when you quoted "revs per minute". Was something like 8,000 from memory.

Wow, I loved those cars, didn't realise they had to homologate them.

Lovely.

...

Is yours supercharged or was that a model called the Volumetrico or something? Bookmarked and eager to hear more!
You might be thinking of the Volumex cars, but I think they were just Lancias?

As cool as it gets. Exceptional taste sir. I've been looking for a standard Sport with no success. Malta seems to have a few. I bought a Sunbeam Lots instead but this itch wont subside and now you've made it worse..

Corrected that for you wink

That is a seriously awesome car, I am so jealous. Even as a committed Escort RS fan-boy this yanks my crank harder, I've loved them since seeing them in action Back In The Day.

More pictures are essential!
Love the 131 up there with all the rally greats very envious

Wow, absolutely love it . Italian cars have always been a passion of mine and I started out with a Fiat 128 3p ss, then a Lancia Beta coupe 2000ie, Beta Spyder, Lancia Delta turbo, Delta HF Integrale. But in amongst these I had a Fiat 131 Mirafiori Sport in black but really wanted orange.
So the 131 Abarth has always been in my top ten and what i am seeing here is stunning.
Lovely car and well done for sourcing such a top class one. I am sure you'll enjoy it for many years.

Awesome car - well done chap.

I had a grey 131 tc sport in my late teens which was the mute nuts. About 150 bhp with tweeted Carbs and Ansa exhaust.
One time on the M1, the throttle jammed open at 120 clicks due to fuel freezing in the carb.
After I sold it, the car was used in a bank robbery. Apparently, the feds couldn’t catch it!!

Again, well done that man 👍

Had a couple of twincam supermiafiori's back in the 80's.Put a 132 2.0 in the 2nd one.
Fantastic drive compared to most other saloons, just a shame about the rust and electric's.
The 2nd one ended its days as a banger racer, rolled it and braced myself with my foot on the accelerator pedal and knocked out the bottom end. When we took the caps off we could not believe the condition of the crank journals as they looked unmarked,we just banged some new bearings in it and it was fine, sold on after the car was totalled, legendary engine to me since then.
