That sir, is one of the best readers' cars ever to grace these pages. I have so much want for it. Well done fella.

Last year I was fortunate enough to be invited to visit a private Abarth collection. The guy has nearly 300 cars - Fiat/Abarth - and sometimes sells one.

When I enquired about the possibility of acquiring one of the cars that most interested me, his answer was "after I'm dead, and then maybe....." smile

Wonderful car, you are one lucky boy to have this along with the Deltas. I love the positive comments this has generated.

I had a Corgi one as a child, it was one of my favourites with the fat wheelarches.

Wow, just amazing. Makes the Metro 6R4 look tame. Love it.

Wow! Thanks for all the great comments. Here's a few more pics. To answer a couple of questions, the car is set up to go properly sideways already especially with it's rally handbrake, rear neg camber and already experienced a rally hairpin in it. Bloody fantastic and what a noise. I got the car from Girardo & Co. who also along with Adam at Lancia Works History helped me find my ex-Auriol Delta.

Here's an absolutely crazy modified group 4

Thumbs up thumbup from another 70's rally car fan. Imagine seeing you coming the opposite way in my Sunbeam, that would be a sight to behold. Check out the madman that is Paolo Diana in his modified 131 in Italy.

What a fantastic piece of metal that is.

Congratulations.

I remember dreaming of these as a kid. I think things like this, the Strada Abarth, 037 etc sealed my love of Italian cars.

Hells teeth.... Truly outstanding !
Has this replaced the Integrale, or just added to the garage ?

Some pics of a Jolly Club dressed 131 from the Eifel '16 for you sir.
Didn't the 131 replace the Stratos in the rally championships ? Fiat Group actually wanting to sell cars to the general public.

That’s just wonderful. You can keep your supercars and exotica, this is infinitely cooler and more special. More fun to drive too I’m sure.

No way! Love both of them to bits and barring some sort of emergency they are staying put. At least until the last breath escapes my body and the Wife sells them 10 minutes later.... wink

Yes, the 131 replaced the Stratos. The 131 the public could relate to and buy unlike the Stratos. It's also why I generally prefer Group A to Group B, I've never been as interested in cars that don't remotely resemble real cars on the street.

I was going to buy a road Delta to go with the rally cars but with the way prices are going for the limited editions I couldn't bring myself to buy one. Decided to focus again on finally trying to find a mint 131 and got lucky this time, the stradale cars are very, very hard to come by it's actually easier to find a Grp 4 car than a street car! Weird but true!

That's a shame. Was hoping your next purchase would be a 037 smile
Would be great to see the 131 at a PH Sunday Service sometime.

Anyway, congrats again and many thanks for the reply.
