Some TLC ready for summer, getting rid of those defects. And especially proud of the Ford Fair month of Fast Ford in August. Can’t wait to see it in full!

???????
A worthy front cover Sir.

Have to say I am not a Ford fan (classics excluded!), and never owned one but this is lovely and I doff my virtual cap. That is all.

Just realised that Escort on the previous page, my mate used to own that many years ago! First Cosworth I ever went in.
Then sold it to your mate who's had it ever since.

Awesome machine, I’ve always wondered even though money is crass to talk about, what sort of ballpark do you find yourself spending fettling each year?

Always admire how handy some people on this forum are, so I imagine without actually paying for labour it’s a lot less than it otherwise would be

One day I’ll take a car I own to the ring, I’ve been there for the Rock am Ring festival but shamefully flew

Keep up the good work mate

Where were the shots taken? Is that clipstone pit where brewer did his recent focus episode?

I’m not a big Ford fan. But this looks amazing. No matter what shell it’s in, I just have to admire the engineering involved!!

Just a cover for the alcantara steering wheel, typical race car addition to protect it while not in use.

Thank god for businesses like @sierrasrus.co.uk for developing improved parts for Cosworths. Lovely billet alloy item replaces the terrible rubber donut on the steering column….it could have been tragic

(Description from @sierrasrus.co.uk )

Here at SIERRS’R’US NORTH WEST LTD after many months of development testing we are proud to announce the new steering linkage doughnut kit available in stock for the following

3 Door 2WD Sierra Cosworth and RS 500 including Sierra Sapphire 2WD Cosworth complete replacement steering linkage doughnut design and machined from AA7068 extremely high strength alloy the strongest of all commercial grades of aluminium commonly known as Tennalum finished in anodised black for that period look this kit is a direct replacement of the 30+ year old rubber doughnut that over time perishes then deteriorates which leads to sloppy and wayward steering this kit totally eliminates all these problems for improved precise steering and handling

This kit includes
1) alloy AA7068 doughnut finished, anodised black
4) high tensile 12.9 Allan key style cap bolts
4) Aerotight Nuts ie meaning that when tightened into position the undersize section of the nut is forced outward creating high friction and a more secure 'locked nut
6) flat washers
Item is priced at £64.99 including postage to the uk and mainland only.

eek Good spot OP, out of interest did that manifest itself in any wheel or column shimmy/shake when driving the car?

Not really, it’s all rose jointed or solid mounted, but the bush itself has 2 bracing bars across the bush so held together.

Well spotted then, at least with the replacement part it's hopefully a 'fit and forget' job!
