Few winter updates

Bought some AP 5000R from Malc, epic kit! Went for 2 sets of discs and both options of pads

Drove on them once to Bicester Heritage and the pad knock being unsprung made it sound like my car was falling apart. So took Malc's advice from another customer of his and added some sprung metal which I tapped and lock wired in

Yesterday gave the car a good going over to make sure it all good for Donington National this friday coming 25th

No I really went off them - changed to clears & LED tails and have never looked back.

Fun day but was cold and wet/raining all day so was just super slippy. If I could of got away with it would of just been sliding all day whether I wanted to or not but got told off a few times for drifting, so in the end by 3pm I called it a day before I had an off... think there was a total of 12 red flags, and to be expected really with the conditions.

This is around Coppice at in-lap pace

Javelin are now offering free pictures from their events, not the best but can't argue at free

Also looked back at my footage from summer 2018 doing a trax session around Donington and uploaded that instead of the dull slow footage

https://youtu.be/zsdbdYlpKm8

Side note AP 5000R brakes worked very well, almost too well as wasn't applying enough brake pressure in the wet to heal & toe as just didn't need to.

Potentially a smart move by Javelin. Who doesn't like a cheeky pic or three of their on track exploits? smile

I drove Donnington (as a much younger and slimmer man) in a Formula Opel Euroseries car. Biggest lesson of the day was just how much difference slicks and wings really make and how much higher the limit was when compared to the limit and my balls when looking for it. smile

Done Bedford GT last Saturday, car performed faultlessly but I on the other hand was suffering with man-flu and just could not get my head together.

I'd been keeping a close eye on the weather during the week running up to the track day and with only a few days to spare it was looking good. So I pulled the plug on some more wheels & tyres for dry running.

Got on the phone to Ben at Hack Engineering and ordered some more Apex ARC-8 18x10 et25 but in satin black this time, then on the phone again to Tom at The MotorWorks to order some Nankang AR1's. Both of which arrived next day so I was a very happy customer.

Here are the free Javelin pictures, still yet to sort the videos out
