Dusted the car off after SORNing it over winter - nearly £600 road tax now + £325 for the Jag
Paintwork could do will a small detail to take out minor swirls, but still looking nice and shiny.
The interior is now where I want it, the seat belts were the tricky part. With the help of PH, I found a company to copy the webbing in new black material. I had to swap the new webbing onto the existing inertia reel, which was a bit fiddly.
A before of the drivers seat as purchaced last year:
Now:
I was a little disapointed with the interior condion when I bought it, it wasn't bad considering the car had 117,000 miles, but not what I wanted. Now the car nearly has 123,000 and the interior is vastly improved imo.

The changes you have made have really smartened up the interior. Good work.
How difficult was it to remove the front seat belts and to swap over to black to as I'm looking to do something similar with mine. The official TIS document says that you have to destroy the trims (!) for the seat belt guides at the top of the seats in order to get to a bolt beneath to be able to feed the belt through. Sounds a bit drastic to me. Any advice would be much appreciated!
Thanks
Simon

Is this an easy DIY fix? Thanks.
I could be a number of things. I have a 2005 645 that I've had for 4 years and it does use a little coolant, but not much so I just keep an eye on it and top it up.Worst case is a coolant line that's in the V of the block, previously this was a monster job to do (as in top half of the engine out) costing thousands at a garage, now there is a stent system that can be inserted into the ends of the pipe to fix it from the inside, still takes a lot of stripping down but costs are drastically reduced.

You may be able to DIY it, I probably could eventually but would take it to a specialist instead as I don't have a ramp, and would be a bit concerned about destroying my car.
Great job on the 650, mines on 62k miles but isn't looking as tidy as that. I'll have to get polishing!
Was removing the phone cradle difficult? It's been annoying me for the last 4 years but I've done nothing about it.
Thanks!
The front seatbelts are a bit of a pain to fit. The seat backs need to be removed to access the inertia reel. Yes the guides covers do suffer in the process, mine were still able to be re-used though. The seat need to be unbolted from the floor to remove the electric seat controls plastic trim on the side.

Since the E64 has been so reliable, I fancy something a bit more tempremental and slightly more exotic later this year!
Advert on ebay. Will gladly keep her if it doesn't sell though!
I didn't realise how much of a bargain these are. Advert on ebay. Will gladly keep her if it doesn't sell though!
Good luck with the sale. What are you looking for?

Thanks, yes they are a seriously underated car in my opinion. I am looking for around the £8k mark, though open to sensible offers- bearing in mind the work/expense gone into the car. I don't think I am allowed to post a link, but someone is welcome to though!Good luck with the sale. What are you looking for?
