The wheels made a massive difference, it's actually a rather handsome car in that 80's spaceship kinda way, pop-up's and everything. And the interiour is just the icing on the beige coloured cake.

What a great purchase!
Cheers, it's a very period with so many great details and I think a few tweaks really make it look a lot better

I was thinking the same thing. Little tickle with the lowering stick and that'll look really cool!
Just got to find some springs now! I'm also looking to get the roof/A-pillars wrapped in gloss black and sort the exhaust and the exterior will be done.

Pleased to hear that you sorted the running issues, she's looking good on the new rims.
Cheers, I had a filter on order from a model specialist store in the UK whom I shan't mention due to PH rules (but it shouldn't be hard to work out) and was hoping that may eventually arrive, but I've given up on that.

One more pic, just to show show the tardis like boot.

Glad to see it getting some love.

Well the current status is it as my trusty local garage where they've fixed the wiring so that the radiator fan actually kicks in (useful in the current weather!) and are going to fix the interior fan as well which has never worked. Should be back tomorrow and I shall give it a wash and update with the latest (small) modification soon.

That looks fabulous on the BBSs! Properly 80s. What a shame they didn't see fit to equip it with a digital dash, that would have put the tin lid on it.

An option on the LX but sadly not compatible with the GT Turbo engine.

There looks to be a lot of FC3S interior similarity - especially the central console. So if you need any spares, might be worth checking out the breakers smile (Can't tell if S4 or S5 though....probably S4)

Love this and the 626 coupe of the era.

Top work sir!
There is a lot of similarity in look, luckily the interior is very good, but I'll keep it in mind. Cheers.

What a fascinatingly appalling vehicle. I love it!

That interior is superb, the wheels look really good and without a front number plate it looks even better.

As has been said, a smack in the face with the lowering stick would do it the world of good :-)

Bookmarked.
Cheers, I do wish I could run it without a front plate.

I still haven't washed it, but I have corrected one of Ford's mistakes.

It's great to see some love for a bit of an automotive misfit. Not cool enough to hang with the cool Fords or Americana or old enough to be truly classic, but I still love it.

And to prove it, I gave it a wash and hoover.

I've ordered some black vinyl for the roof, so I'm hoping I can put my girlfriend's craft skills to work because I've never been any good at wrapping presents let alone cars.

Looked great in the flesh! smile
Cheers. It's such a big meet now with a good variety of cars. Just need to get up earlier!

Is that an aftermarket cupholder or did it come like that from the factory?
Aftermarket, if you go back a page I've got a couple of pics on how I modified it a bit to fit.

Nice to see Alan in the metal today at a service station. He looks fantastic for his age! smile
Cheers! My apologies for not being in the best of moods, had to rush back to Somerset to sort a bit of a crisis, else you could have had a poke around.

Is that a can of Tab?!
Tab clear. What else would you drink in a car like this?

I bought some old empty cans from ebay a while back when searching for some Crystal pepsi. One man's junk is another man's clutter.

Wonderful. Looks like one of those generic sports cars you would find in GTA San Andreas.

I presume a lot of parts from the Mazda would fit if you find yourself in need of spares?
There are definitely some which work (an alternator belt was easy from ECP), but there were very few Mazdas ever sold with the F2T in the UK so it doesn't always help. RockAuto in the US is brilliant unlike a Ford Probe specialist in the UK who is a known con artist and does nothing but lie. Unfortunately due to PH rules I can't name them, so I can only say it's a Store for the Ford Probe in the UK.

Now I've just got to work out how to spend the prize money for getting "Reader's car of the week" wink

So the probe has a fresh MOT and an eBay special stainless backbox. It's npt running quite as smoothly as I would like though, so I'm going to give it a big service and perhaps blank off the EGR.
