new cable halfway in from handbrake cable going back old one half way out:

once handbrake was done I moved onto the front wishbones.

which is when i discovered this :



it would seem the new shocks / top mount and springs i fitted have an issue !!

I’ll have to pop some pics on soon but the mr2 is MOT’D again.

Shock issue was sorted.
New universal joint for steering
New bottom arms fitted
New front radiator
New poly bush on some rear arms

Friday I drove from Yorkshire to carlise to see my sister in her.

Couple of minor issues, annoying noise from drivers front at low speed knocking if you will and the airbag light kept flickering on and off at end of journey. It’s done this before but always after a long run. Need to look at it .

Not posted for a while.

I found the airbag issue. The squib (on the steering wheel behind the air bag) that keeps the airbag connected to the wire loom was damaged, obviously by me when I fitted the new steering joint.

A new one was 30 quid so not a massive drama in the end 😎

Posting now as I’m selling the car and going through all my old stuff to do with it.
