You can use https://imgur.com/ but I'd be more inclined to reduce the size of the images anyway (using paintdotnet or similar).

Very nice T5! I must admit I’m a fan of the sportline look, and currently thinking about trading in my C350 for one.
Normally I hate the non colour coded bumpers, but along with steel wheels this one looks perfect, I’m also a huge fan of red one too, as you say, they’re not very common. I’ve been looking at some ex fire ones, are they the same red as the Miele ones?

Cool van.

I went Japanese....much less cash and 240bhp out the box. LPG conversion keeps the running costs reasonable.
Looks like an automotive version of Droopy Dog or a feeding whale shark

I saw this image and for a while, genuinely thought you were putting a pitched roof on the van. laugh

During the installation the installers insisted on sending me proof of the butchery I was subjecting my poor defenceless van to!

Ill have to go back when I get chance and fill in the gaps.

But essentially of late (well last 10 months!)

It was featured in one of the VW mags (VWT if you must) and labelled up as a modernish take on the classic “cal” look.

... and I was happy enough.

But I had a think and it wasn’t doing it for me, it was 8/10 and it began to knaw at me.

Queue version 2.0

Much Much lower (surprisingly still practical) and the wheels were sent off banded out and chrome powder coated, which isn’t chrome but more a raw metal finish.

Things were good , it went on a holiday trip to cornwall swallowing 1100 miles over 5 days.

Then things weren’t good. Earlier this week I was faced with a decision of a head on with a muppet cutting a junction, or risk squeezing into a gap against a parked car .

I think we can see which option I chose, and the other driver drove off.

Miele ones are Miele Röt, got a feeling Fire service stock is Tornado Red.

Looks great. I know only too well how ridiculously overpriced an actual California is, and how cheap they make them. 95% of the conversions I saw were superior and a hell of a lot cheaper.

Croakey,

Red startline van ordered with business pack and tailgate - collecting in Dec. It will be 6 months old with delivery miles. Expect to see a clone (style wise!) of yours albeit not having the pop-up roof.

Basically going kombi spec with an extra single seat in the cargo area making 6 - SWMBO wants a single passenger seat up front, as suffers with her back.

Windows in the sliding door and opposite. Pondering rear quarter - leave as is, false window or actual window (any rear seat passengers might want a window) Still considering fixed or with openers in middle panes? Leaks and security Vs fresh air for passengers??

Sportline springs and 18” Amaroks. Again pondering tyre sizes - probably go with 235/50 R18s then which make??

Cannot wait!!

Hi, I saw that you swaped a Lupo 3l steering wheel in your T5. I would like the same ,but can you please help me with the wires, exluding the airbag jack.
The other two jacks i don't know where to pull the wires.

Croakey,

any news / updates on the van? My plans changed and ended up with a 9 seat window van (now down to 6) in Startline spec with air con, parking and rear heater.
