Quick rodent check today, and removal of the battery - so I can trickle it over the Xmas period.

I think I won't be getting it out now until next year, very overdue a wash and a mild recommission, with some fresh fuel - hopefully find some decent time to put into it.

...boring update, but, I have found my trickle charger, so I spent this afternoon getting the very dead battery out of the Beetle (yes the battery tray is still solid).

I will be hooking it up soon, need to get the Beetle out of hibernation very soon!!!

Please keep the updates coming! Hope you get her out and about soon!

I have just bought a project Beetle, a 69, 1300. All welding has been done, but needs electrics, some mechanicals, interior and paint . It's been 31 years since I had my last Beetle, so very excited to get back in one.

Yes, I do hope so too, just life gets into the way with these things usually.

Excellent!! Good year to save, anything in the '60's era I really prefer, hope you get a thread up too, good to see another bug saved, they are really quite a rarity now seeing any about...in any condition.

So been a while since I last looked in on the old bug, dust dust dust, still haven't had the time to get her cranked again, did a few checks, de-seize checks, worked the clutch, box and brakes, cracked it over by hand.

Hopefully I get he chance to run it properly soon, need to get a new battery first, other one is toast.
