There's one for sale near me at the moment and I'm trying to convince myself I don't need it
You don't need it. That isn't a reason to not buy it.

I'm not helping, am I?

I might have missed it, but are you sticking with those wheels? Or are you going for newer cleaner ones?

The car could now be called a Beat Barchetta.....perhaps ....!

It's looking really good now it has that amazing paint on.

What colour will the alloys be?

I would have thought standard silver or perhaps anthracite....but not black !

That's looking great, and close to being finished. Do you think you'll be on the road this summer?

Cheers all

Funny you say about Beat Barchetta, about 6 months ago I changed the instagram page name to Beatchetta_pp1

So this car has been known for a while as the Beatchetta

Regarding the wheels they will be gold centres with a polished Ali outer rim.

Hoping it will be on the road by end of August latest.

Rear end close to being finished, correct size number plate.

removed all heater and AC controls, replaced with body colour painted ali panel which will have the heated seat switches. Will tidy up the gear lever gaiter and will have new gear knob.

Rear view mirror now in place and supported.

Painted the existing rotten bonnet with some left over satin black as a temporary solution until the carbon one arrives from Japan hopefully in a few months. I've decided to paint the carbon bonnet green when it does eventually turn up.

Putting the heated seat switches in a small panel where the electric window switch used to be.

Would be quite cool to stencil off the Honda badge on the bonnet when you paint it, and leave it so it shows through the green paint as a carbon badge possibly?

Good idea, I like the sound of this will see if it can be done.

Will this need an IVA or anything to bring it back on the road? And have you thought about doing the wheels white?

Hopefully no on the IVA but if we do I know someone who can help but it will take time.

I have seen these pepper pot type wheels in white and they do look good, for now we will probably just polish the outer rims and clean up the grey, will put the full paint refurb back until winter.

Small steps but getting closer to the final look now and we decided to reveal the perspex screen colour of... tinted yellow.

When you sit in the car you actually look over the top of the screen.

Still a little way to go before it will be running as waiting on a few parts from Japan. Hopefully then it can be mot'd while we wait for new carbon bonnet and roll bar to arrive, finish off the paint work, get panel gaps acceptable refit the rest of the interior before we start putting some miles on it just in time for Autumn. Glad we will have heated seats.

Come on we need some pics with a human sat in the front. A full size human please so full on powerfully built PH director type. Not a kart racing midget dwarf gimp.
