Roll bar has arrived and just been test fitted, it does slightly restrict rear movement of the seat but is ok. Just to decide whether to paint black or body colour scratchchin

Also test fitted the Momo Prototipo and NSX-R horn push.

Rocket, it looks fantastic you’ve done so well with this. I’d be inclined to go body colour I think.

Is it staying two seater or single? It would look terrific with some sort of cover over the passenger side whilst driving solo.

Thanks, it feels like we are getting close now.

I love your idea and at some point would look into that probably with a small bucket seat without headrest for the passenger side which could sit below the cover but for now it will have 2 normal seats.

I was also going to suggest a zebra wrap for the roll bar!

Or what about matching the roll bar to whatever colour you plan to do the wheels - which I hope is some kind of obnoxious gold?

My vote for the roll cage is yellow, so that everything proud of the body matches. I do like the sound of the zebra print, however!

Some good suggestions there for the roll bar, Zebra print might be tricky! Yellow and gold are good options which I had not thought of, will probably play it safe for now and go black to tie in with whats left of the screen pillars and front scuttle panel also the contrast against the green cover weve made to go behind the seats should look quite good I reckon.

Roll bar now in and painted black, rear cover has been cut to fit but still needs final fettling and securing.

There has been a lot 'nerding' going on between Pete and I on this project so it needs a nerd knob.

MOT atTempt next week, fingers crossed.

We have an MOT! woohoo

Also insured the car with all mods declared for £139 so not bad.

At the moment car not keen on reving much above 4k, engine feels very tight and as if being starved of fuel perhaps so more investigation needed.

This is splendid news. Well done indeed.

I’d like a recording of the insurance conversation.

Great result, congrats!

I guess with the car being an H plate it's much easier to pass emissions than if it were a year or two newer.

Classic car policies are usually great with declaring mod's. I've found that once you've declared one or two say, there is not really a price increase on any additional ones added from that point.
