And IIRC Antibes is one of the few places where the reaaaallly big superyachts can go to play because they dont fit in many other ports

Portugal would be my first choice as you're spoilt for choice along the Algarve and it pretty much avoids the only way is Essex/Marbella

Great weather, beaches, food, locations, people etc.
Oh and Portimao

Marbella itself is nice (Orange Square etc) but Puerto Banus is a place I can just about manage a couple of hours at a time in.

We have 2 things in common i'm also from Oldham and have a Dachshund that's about it.

As a slightly younger person Antibes (and near facinity) truly has so many advantages - access to great locations, not so pretentious (has an Irish Bar and Absinthe Bar!), 30 mins from Monaco, 40 mins from Italy, Nice airport on your doorstep, endless Cannes Film Festival invites etc...

Nah they’re not too bad, just old tech. Just make sure you buy one that’s been meticulously maintained. Looking at the roof and the rear plastic screen is always a good indicator of how it’s been kept (although if they’ve changed the roof recently then all that goes out the window).

Not a bad car but not the best, I’d stretch for a 458 if you’ve got the means.
