To be fair if someone gave me 100 guesses I would've likely never guessed what it was either, lovely looking thing though

Quite easily I'd have thought, if classics aren't your thing you're unlikely to know every classic car are you, regardless of brand or what someone else thinks everyone should know

This isn't just "every" classic.

Firstly - Classics really arent my knowledge base, especially cars from the early 70's

Secondly - Ferrari's aren't really my "brand"

Thirdly - I thought people joined sites like Pistonheads to learn, expand their understanding, and generally find out about things they didnt know. Thats why I first joined up. Hence why I asked where I could read about it.

Maybe I got this wrong. Perhaps people join to belittle others lack of knowledge, pass derisory comments about them asking questions and generally make themselves feel better about their superior knowledge.

Pete - thanks for sharing your collection and providing an opportunity for mere mortals like me to learn and understand about car's i wasn't previously familiar with.

Folks, please don't ruin this thread with pointless infighting, Pete is kind enough to post and I for one am really enjoying reading it. So someone doesn't know one of the cars, big deal, PH needs to be above this sort of thing

Hopefully its the first option!

No it’s definitely the 1st option but I was taking the wife out for some lunch in it, having a date day. Now I’m stuck on the hard shoulder with a hungry/hangry pregnant wife and it’s starting to rain. FML haha.

Gawd dammit Swampy, how can you not know every car that’s ever been made, call yourself a petrolhead???
I’d be ashamed, now go and whip yourself 365 times whilst chanting the words “Daytona, Daytona, Daytona” each time haha.

Jeebus guys calm down on him, so he doesn’t know a car or two!!!!
There’s enough st going on in this world without our superiority complex’s getting in the way.
We’re all PH’ers here, let’s build each other up not knock ourselves down.

Still, on the upside, nice photo! Every cloud and all that... biggrin

Loving the Daytona BTW, my childhood dream car.
