LOL, that transcends cool and goes straight to Fantasy Island.

A piece of history and an absolute beast of a car in one package.

If you do end up adding it to your collection Pete...please, please buy a decent camera/microphone combo to do it justice!!

Please don’t try and act tough on the internet, it doesn’t work.

Credit to Pete for giving up some of his time, what a wonderful position to be in. That said, this thread has descended into a lot of people searching the internet for expensive cars and posting them on here suggesting that the millionaire that they probably haven’t met goes ahead and buys them.

At the moment it’s nothing more than trying to live vicariously through a chap on the internet with the vain hope he buys something that they posted, which might score them internet points. At least the Flemke thread actually got into some detail about a car.

The idea of the reader’s cars section is to share the purchase and ownership journey about cars with others. How about we get back to that? Take the readers through the process of speccing, buying, collecting, storing and owning a car that most of us would unlikely be able to afford? That would be ace. At the moment it’s a load of speculation from a wealthy chap with other grown men fawning over his position.

The MK3 MX5 thread is more interesting than this one at the moment! (Cue lots of “well ps off back to that thread then!!!!111 responses).

Nothing tough about it. It's quite simple, you are de-railing the thread with you stupid little comments.

To be fair, it's interesting when Pete posts and pretty dull when it's 19 uninterrupted pages of people's browsing and posting cars they can't afford. Being idolised on a car nerds forum probably gets tiring after a while and real life is a tad more important, too.

Agree - but I don't think we need to classify it as 'wking over pete' or whatever highly eloquent statement our friend here used.

Take zondaboys post on the previous page - a little bit of cringe within that post but still interesting cars nonetheless. I would rather read about Pete buying a car too/ownership experience, I didn't see it so moved on. Clearly content depends on Petes availability.

I blame Pete

If he wasn’t such a tight arse he’d buy a car every week and people wouldn’t need to speculate

You bd! It's the speculation that kills the market. If it wasn't for the speculation I'd be able to pick up a Koonicksheed Kownigshead Koenigshed Zonda for £5k.

I've wanted to post something similar to Mac.'s post for a while. This post is great when the OP posts something about his cars or what he's been doing with his cars or what he's thinking about purchasing. When people post links to cars suggesting he buy them, to me, that seems like they are trying to befriend the OP and climb up inside his bottom. It is creepy. The OP seems a fantastic chap and has shared with us all the amazing journey he is on. I really enjoy reading his posts, but I am challenged by some of the posts on here where it seems the posters are desperate to be acknowledged by a very successful businessman and become his friend. I think I'm correct in saying the OP has not posted anything of substance for a while - he probably can't sit down at his keyboard because of the number of people on this thread that are up his rear end. Whilst I know the OP's name, I haven't used it here in case anyone thinks I'm suggesting he's a mate of mine. Please post again soon OP; type standing up if need be.
