Another Mclaren Pete?!

Is it a 675?
Haha no it’s been mine for the last few years, I just decided to borrow it to Super Car Driver (SCD) magazine for a few months. Got some things lined up so definitely want them on board. Good guys.

My mum mentioned about a new restaurant opening near their house owned by Emile Heskeys wife which had me like, bloody ell it’s a small world.
I know of some fella on the internet who has a shedload of supercars that part owns a restaurant with her.
Surprised to see a food place linked to the restraint you own Pete 3 streets away from where I spent the first 20 years of my life and where my mum and dad still live.
Not expecting to see any supercars in the centre of Liverpool anytime soon hehe a bit of a trek from the leafy Cheshire.
There is a Cars and Coffee on a Sunday of each month located 5 minutes away from Honuku if you ever do try the Pan Asian food out biggrin
Yeah I’m venturing out into further fields. Opening 1-2 restaurants a year now. Got another one opening up in Altrincham (Manchester) next year.
Don’t think I’ll be going to my restaurants any time soon as I’ve decided to go vegetarian and I’d be tempted by the Dim Sum haha.

Why thank you, I’m sure you’ll be seeing a lot more of it too. Especially on TV.

Sorry about the quietness again, seem to be saying that a lot lately.
It’s been a crazy and rough year, unfortunately I’ve not done much with the cars lately. Bought a few, like another 430 Scud and 360 CS. My daughter contracted meningitis at 5 weeks old so that’s all I was concentrating on until she got out of hospital and healthy. Luckily now she is better and we can move on from that now.
Now for the good parts, I’ve got a race team together and will begin Jordan on his long journey starting in April 2020.
Then I’ll be entering the 250 into Goodwood revival in 2021, maybe 2020 if DK Engineering can get it done super fast (it goes to them on Thursday). I’ve been in talks with the wonderfully cool Oli Webb and he has agreed to join my team and race the 250 which is fking Uber cool.
I’m extra excited for this.

Wow, glad your daughter is ok, that is a horrible illness, my godson caught it and his dad was keeping an eye on him thinking he just had a cold, he was going to leave him to sleep but something made him drive him to hospital, another hour and they wouldn't haver been able to save him the doctor said.

Hopefully your daughter has fully recovered and is all ready for Christmas, Pete. That's all that matter at the end of the day.

My daughter was born last Wednesday and within 5 hours was in intensive care fighting Group B Strep and had to have a Lumbar Puncture to check for Meningitis which came back negative. We're still in hospital as she's not fully recovered but I know nothing is more important than her now.

Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year with thr family.

+1

I love all the car stuff in this thread, and all the other bits and pieces that go with it as well, so if there is any chance along the way I'd love to see some pics of the race team trucks and trailers thumbup

Pete and Feirny, all the best to both of you, your families and your little'uns especially.

Fingers crossed for a better end to the year and a great start to next.

And Pete, if it helps take the tiniest of burderns off you (mentioning you seem to be saying sorry a lot recently), you never need to apologise to us lot for going quiet, we're glad that you share with us your life and your cars, we're in no position to complain if you don't update us and I highly doubt any of us would in fairness. Any new content is a nice bonus to see but your life comes first and we all know it.

Take care.

I don’t have much to say that hasn’t already, but I’d genuinely like to echo this. You and yours first Pete, nothing else matters. Wishing you and yours the best of health.
