Wow, that's a bit of a mess - I hope getting it fixed isn't too much of a hassle OP.
Lucky the birthday boy wasn't in it when that happened though, and great to see he will still get his wish.
No fixing that, it’s a write off unfortunately. I’m currently in talks with Ferrari about getting another one to replace this. Luckily it’ll be on a 2020 plate and not a ‘69 plate. Lucky the birthday boy wasn't in it when that happened though, and great to see he will still get his wish.

That's a shame in a way but then again after major repairs however well they are done in the back of your mind it would probably never feel quite the same, so maybe it's for the best. Greg_D said:
Are there likely to be any problems getting the insurance to pay up? (ie was the other driver 3rd party only ????)
Fingers crossed, best of luck...
When you're at this level, you don't really have 3rd party cover on any aspect of your policy. Fingers crossed, best of luck...
It's very much the norm for your policy to cover you on practically any car fully comp.

Rich for the win. Yeah he’s got cars that make my Pista looks about as expensive as a Matchbox car. It’s all good. It's very much the norm for your policy to cover you on practically any car fully comp.
Gutted for you Pete was a great spec that pista as well, shame it had to happen on the way to doing a good deed also.
Curious would the focus’s insurance still cover it being as it was their fault but assuming no actually contact was made with them? They will be in for a shock when the bill comes through!

Glad everyone was ok. Sounds like you are being pretty pragmatic about it, st happens and it will get resolved in the end by the sounds of it. Still a massive shame though.
I was rammed off the road in a similar fashion a few months ago, what I would have given to have a cop as a witness! Instead... well you get the idea. I'm glad that there's no question marks over the events in this case. Sounds like a few people will be in trouble, the farmer will be in for a shock when we hears what's happened!
Maybe take a different route next week Pete

Sorry to hear this Pete. I’ve been following this thread and really liked the spec of this Pista.
Interested what happens now - do insurers just pay out the full whack of your fully optioned car? I imagine insurers are much nicer to deal with at this end of the market but I could be wrong. The insurer of the Focus and farmer may get a shock when your insurer calls them to recover their costs...
Hope your mate is OK that’s the main thing.
p.s. Insta request sent - danjgriffiths

Really sorry to hear this mate, i know how excited you were with the spec on this one? Did he end up hitting the focus then? I'd be bricking it having to tell my insurer i've just hit a £700k+ ferrari Pista to claim back off!
What happens with it now then? Will they access if it's a right off or repairable?

A cautionary tale we should all heed, we should all have a spare Pista just in case
Glad the driver is ok, the Focus owner is getting whats coming for being a plank, nobody got hurt and its just been deferred a week, good on you for doing it.

I’m gonna send my other Pista his way next weekend.
Pete - that statement sums you up completely ! Regardless of the fact that your very desirable, ( oh, and expensive !), car has just been written off, you will ensure the little lad gets his wish, and has a run out in his dream car. Many people have no idea of what you do 'behind the scenes', but this shows your true worth.
Again, well done sir.
Big heart, Cool head.
