Pete, did you (perhaps someone else did) said there was an F1 in there?

If so, I would think that would be the biggest car insurance claim in UK history. Perhaps I'm mistaken.

When the police catch him or he hands himself in then I’ll know more, until then I just have to be patient. It’s gone down as a no fault claim on my insurance but I did have to claim on my own as the Fine Car Store where I had my collection failed to provide certain guarantees to the investigators when asked so their insurance company wouldn’t pay out. Absolutely disgusting, I’m just glad I had my own insurance. Obviously I was always going to have my own insurance because I was driving my cars but there was some cars in there that people didn’t drive and just had them stored there as investments. These unfortunately wouldn’t have been covered if they didn’t have their own insurance, which from what I’m told was quite a lot of people, mainly because they was mis-sold this service by The Fine Car Store.
This is disgraceful. As you say, thank god you had your own policy. I wonder how many of those exotics were effectively uninsured by the actions of the storage owner? Hopefully not many.

A heartbreaking situation all round, irrespective of whether you had insurance or not. Hope the culprits get their comeuppance at some point.

Good on you for bouncing back and for continuing to keep us all captivated with purchase teasers/updates beer

Faaaark yikes I imagine there'll be a fair few folks looking to sue the company/directors for negligence in that case...

Great to see things are getting back on track and the collection rebuild coming along nicely. DK Eng always have cracking stock and I hope you reach an agreement on the F40.

Did you check out this 166MM Barchetta that DK had a little while back? This one won the Le Mans 24hrs and Mille Miglia. Could this be a replacement for the cancelled Monza and what do you think of the current crop of modern takes on classic roofless racers like the McLaren Elva and Aston Martin V12 Speedster?

As far as I’m aware there was no F1 in there, at least whenever I’ve been in there I’ve never seen one. I did hear that someone put in a 250 SWB a few days before the fire!!! So maybe there could have been one but I’d highly doubt it.

It’s just Pete’s ‘popping out to the shop’ car.

Wouldn’t want to take anything too nice for those little local trips hehe

I’m confused. You post says “start work on my garage” next week and then you post a photo.

It looks finished no?
Sorry I meant to say this is my new temporary garage, my new new garage will be something quite spectacular.
Got you, makes sense to me now.

A garage build thread will be a good one too if you have the time.

Just seen the LFA Pete, glorious.

Grey with red just works on pretty much anything but it has the added bonus of being unusual on an LFA.

Bring on the Nürburgring version.

Thanks but a trip to spec savers might be worth it, it’s liquid silver not grey laugh
