Looking forward to it, I still think they are gaps in the youtube market for quality content. It will be refreshing for someone to review a car and say it how it is and not just say everything is amazing.

When you see some of the bigger channels uploading st videos that still get 100k+ views it does make you think.... Shmee is just churning several videos of his shed recently and don't get me started on supercar blondie ffs

Genuinely excited about this new podcast, sounds like its going to potentially shake up the automotive podcast space certainly in the UK if not further afield!

I am not a massive podcast listener, but I'd definitely be up for listening to some ramblings, rants and honest opinions.

Good luck, and I am looking forward to the content.

I tip my hat to you sir.

You appear to be a rarity from among the people able to afford such trinkets. May I ask what bit of your background has made you approach life in this way? No probs if you'd prefer not to go into.

Thank you

Ps. I was very touched that you "liked" my reaction to one of your Instagram stories yesterday. Thank you

Really looking forward to the Youtube thing, have been since you first mentioned it way back when, Youtube has gone a bit stale for me at the moment so a good positive change is much welcomed!

Wel

Getting used to the quick steering and indicators etc. took me half an hour or so but towards the end of the test drive it was starting to make sense and I was gelling with the car.
this is what I love about modern ferraris, the steering is so wonderfully sharp

Hey Pete,
Just wanted to say a small thanks for opening up your Instagram (think it was private before, so I've now followed) and a big thanks for the updates here.

I like the cars and stuff but the "charity and st" (as you've dubbed it) is even better!

Thanks Salman

I'd echo the same too!

I must admit I had a little chuckle at the sheer incompetence from BMW with the CS saga.

A work colleague dealt with Soper a couple of years ago and they were utterly hopeless, although that was on a rubbish 114i, I thought they'd be paying attention for halo cars.

I came from a working class background and it was all about the family. I was a bit of a naughty youth and spent a lot of time hanging round in some less than desirable areas. So my mates were from all different backgrounds. That gave me a quick understanding of other cultures, races and religions very quickly, so I learned a lot and I wasn’t blinkered. It’s made me realise that majority of people are fking good people, don’t get me wrong there’ll always be s but they can easily be ignored.
My outlook is that we are all going to die, so I’d rather leave a positive impact on the world than a negative.
Some of those lads taught me that years ago. I guess I had a completely different education compared to what other presume I had.

Thanks for commenting on my Instagram too. Always good reading people comments.

Judging by the lack of IG stories, things have gone quiet on the BMW front? Or have they asked (begged) you to? biggrin

Oh no it’s coming. I’m just dealing with the lawyers at the moment. The st I’ve been dealing with has been comical. My solicitor is just making me cool my jets for a few days.

Picturing a conversation with the lawyer going something like

L - Leave it to me, can you pass me all the official communications
2MC - Heres the emails, heres all the the IG stuff, oh and heres all the 1000's of people off twitter too soapbox
L - bangheadcensoredweeping

Loved seeing the sheer incompetence of a main dealer slapped all over Instagram with the M2 CS saga.

I bought a Focus ST from English Ford in Poole a few years ago with a "comprehensive" warranty that the clutch failed on 10 days later.
Over the coming days it transpired I had been lied to about various things related to the car. One example is that the salesman told me on several occasions (for some reason) that the previous owner was a lady who was a regular customer of theirs and always had her cars serviced meticulously on schedule and always by them. When the V5 came through it had a very unique mans name on it.
I shot him a message on social media and he came back telling me he had been the only keeper and driver of the car from new and had traded it in with the same dealer a few months previously.
Not a big deal but its just one example of a number of little misleading things that had been said to me.

It took me 2 months of constant emails and phone calls most of which were unanswered before they finally agreed to replace the clutch and flywheel at a largely discounted price and the whole thing was dealt with in the most snobbish and obnoxious manner imaginable so it's nice to see somebody tucking it to an equally incompetent bunch of twonks.

This reminds me of some Range Rover related issues I had many years ago.

I bought a used 4.6 Vogue RR (P38) from a large London dealer, it looked great but less that a week into ownership I noticed a number of issues. These ranged from CD player not working and squeaky trim to a loose drivers seat and a major vibration at motorway speed. So it was sent back to be fixed

A week later it was almost ready, the little stuff had been fixed but there was issue as they did not want to order a new seat frame. However when asked about the vibration, they kept changing to the topic of conversation, until finally I was told that "the front suspension was not toqued up correctly". but that does not mean it was loose at all. So I rejected it.

Next instalment, they found me a similar (4.6 Vogue) car but better spec, (Tinted windows (not DD spec), TV's in the back, Video and playstation, different colour wheels and running boards) and all of this was special order factory fit for a well know designer. I checked it pre PDI and picked up a few things to be fixed and these were done.

All good when I took delivery, but a bit sluggish. However the GEMS cars learn how you drive and so change up early etc. So I worked it hard for a week or so, and then the V5 turned up.

My special order 4.6 Vogue was in fact a 4.0 HSE, and left the factor bog standard, ( checked all this with LR CS). I contacted the salesman and was told I was wrong, so I went there are asked to see the paperwork on the LR checks that had been done on both cars. Guess what no PDI checks had been done on the first car, and no LR check or HPI had been done on the second one.

They tried to cover all of this up, and Land Rover were not really of great help. The dealer had someone drive at my house with a full refund cheque.
