No I don’t have a GT40 although it’s on my bucket list.
There is a stunning blue one at dick lovett at the momenthttps://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...
I can’t get over that awful 2005 mustang interior and switchgear.
I’d rather get an old 1960’s 40.
And that’s not a proper GT40 as it’s 44in high. So it should be called the GT44 haha.

Happy Birthday Pete, I hope you have a lovely family day and chill whilst your hangover subsides.
What does one get a man that has everything?
Socks and underpants, kid you not. That’s all I ever want. What does one get a man that has everything?

But, socks and pants, my missus got me some the other day in a bid to retire some of mine, like the rappers that buy Calvin Kelins and only wear them once, I am the diametric opposite, with Marks and Spencers finest, if you get a good pair that is comfy then you hand onto them, I get very grumpy if they are too tight, so consequently, favorite ones would qualify for classic insurance if they were cars.
She always says "What if you have an accident (as in a car crash, not poo myself) to be honest if I am on a spine board having blood pumped into me and stuff, the least of my worries is a pair of vintage M and S underpants with slightly dog eared elastic, its not like they will just pronounce me dead and not bother if I dont have the latest Shreddies on.

No way that’s where I’m originally from, Oldham.
My neighbours always found me to be a bit ballsy. I had a £200k house with £1m-£1.5m of cars on the drive.
I never had a problem though
Oldham By Sea he calls it. I normally pop up a couple of weekends a year and we go on a bit of a pub crawl, Uppermill normally. My neighbours always found me to be a bit ballsy. I had a £200k house with £1m-£1.5m of cars on the drive.

Like others on this thread, the website sounds interesting

I can imagine that you are difficult to buy for, I would struggle choosing something for someone who has 50 cars as I am guessing if you want a gadget or computer game, all the usual stuff you probably just buy it, I do and I dont quite have your budget.

Exactly this, I have underwear with massive holes in them, buttons falling off and rips in the elastic but I love them so don’t want to get rid as they are comfy as fook. Yeah I’m terrible to buy for, want for nothing so don’t ask for anything. I’m not ungrateful, I just don’t want people to waste their money on me.
I’m having a new walk-in wardrobe fitted next week so I’m going through mine now and throwing stuff away. Just came across loads of presents from up to 3 years ago that I’ve only just opened.
That’s bad that isn’t it.

Ah Uppermill is the posh side, I lived the council side. Loved that place, rough as houses but good fun. Like others on this thread, the website sounds interesting
Now I live with all the posh nobs haha

Am I the only one to pick up on this...
Twin Squirrel as in Eurocopter AS355 Chopper ?
quality stuff
I'd spotted the Squirrel reference....it almost seems obvious. The question for Pete is, do the "driving" yourself? I've been a few times in a helicopter and it's a great way to travel & good fun.Twin Squirrel as in Eurocopter AS355 Chopper ?

Happy birthday Pete and I hope you had a good breakfast to aid your recovery from yesterday
Happy Birthday Buddy!
Like some of your cars you're now also a well-maintained vintage classic with plenty of miles left in you.
Speaking of socks and pants, you're always knocking our socks off whenever you post pics of your latest vehicle and as far as I can tell there's nothing in your collection that can be described as "pants".

I can’t get a Pilots license now due to brain surgery. Otherwise I’d fly everywhere. bd. Happy birthday Pete and I hope you had a good breakfast to aid your recovery from yesterday
Good to hear progress being made on things like the site and garage!
The comment about the xj220 didn’t surprise me but did pose a question
Which cars have been the biggest disappointments? I can only imagine how hard it would be to get the keys to a million pound poster car and hate it!

The DB5 drives like a shower of st, the Zagato is a one trick pony, good sound but crap handling and slow. The comment about the xj220 didn’t surprise me but did pose a question

I’m going to keep the DB5 as it’s our wedding car, get rid of the Zagato and look for a lovely 250 swb Berlinetta.
Then I’ll have 4 lovely classics, the DB5, DB2/4, 250 Lusso and the 250 swb.
I’ll still keep the supercars but they’re all getting boring now as they pretty much do the same.
The only ones I’ll keep on order will be the Singer DLS, Pista, Senna, Pista Spider and the Monza SP2.
I’ll take a break for a year or so until something comes out that takes my breath away.
