Pete, I think I read that you have a 911.2 Targa and a 911.2 Targa 4s, which I think are stunning cars that I aspire to own one day myself, but they don't seem to fit in with your other exotica. What's the story behind these and is there much of a difference between them in terms of their driving experience?
Nothing great behind the story. Just bought them both to see what the difference is. Like them both and decided to keep them. Better handling from the 4 but more fun in the 2. There feels like a massive weight difference too.
Good cars but not great, I definitely feel like Porsche has lost its way. Looking forward to getting the Singer DLS to see what the ultimate air cooled Porsche is like.

Don't you worry about owning all that precious metal and living in Greater Manchester (your profile says) ???
People are getting their Mk7 Golf R's nicked en-masse and last year I watched footage of a scooter gang trying to carjack a Bentayga so I would be extremely hesitant owning hypercars in the area...
I live straight West of you and it's a problem..why I drive a 10 year old car that doesn't stand out...
Ahhh I need to update my profile, not lived in Manchester for years now. People are getting their Mk7 Golf R's nicked en-masse and last year I watched footage of a scooter gang trying to carjack a Bentayga so I would be extremely hesitant owning hypercars in the area...

I thought 997/991 Targas are all 4s?
Sorry I think there’s some confusion here, definitely on my part. I blame my head. I’ve bought a Targa GTS (4) and a GTS (2).
The 4 is a better handling car whereas the 2 is more fun.
Hope this makes more sense. I also have another Targa which is non GTS. Even I’m starting to get confused with the collection now!!

Anyway!!!! How’s everyone’s Christmas/Holidays been? please share some good motoring presents with the group. Let’s hear about what made you all smile and be thankful that someone got you a great present.

My 18 month old niece in my present. She has spent most of her waking hours in “her car” since we went over on Christmas Day
Pete, good to hear you're ok and it sounds like the holidays are giving you some time to decide what you'd like to look at next. I bet you can't wait to get back and drive a few of the cars....what do you think of the more "special" cars will be first, or will the Senna be the first after collection (weather permitting)?
My Christmas presents included the latest Guy Martin book "we need to weaken the mixture" which I'm part way through and the Kimi Raikkonen book. I'm like a few others on PH that see extended hols and quieter roads at times as an opportunity to get the car out and to drive just for the sake of it (even if I have to resort to car cleaning in the dark at times with too much going on!).
Happy New Year to you & your family and I'm like many waiting for your next updates.

With so many cars to choose to from, do you ever find a lot of them haven’t been driven in months and does it become a problem i.e dead batteries and so on.
No problem at all, they are all on charge and the lady that looks after them all gives them a blast at least twice a month, then they get washed and valeted after every outing. It’s a crap job but someone has to do it haha0a said:

Joking aside, kids are the best present aren’t they. Glad she’s enjoying “her car”.

I’ve heard that it’s a great book, I do love Guy Martin. My partner Jordan did some filming at the ring recently and was with Guy, he said he’s just the coolest bloke ever. I’m actually not that bothered about the Senna if I’m honest. Totally gone off McLaren, they’ve seriously lost their way and it’s an sustainable business model they’ve got at the moment.
I’m actually itching to get behind the wheel of my TDF. I’ve had it about 8 months now and not even drove it once. It’s still sat at Topaz haha. I’ll drop some pictures of it here. I’ll also put up some of the cars I’m looking at purchasing now too.
Happy new year to you and your family too. Hope 2019 is a great one for you and your loved ones.

Haha there are worse ways to make a living. P.S that Enzo is amazing as the other poster said that’s/was Jay Kay’s? I think his is the only one with green leather seats. It be great to hear how it compares with your other Ferraris. The Enzo is one of my dream cars. moneymakestheworldgoaround said:
