Not now, after spending a lot of time travelling round Europe and seeing how bad it’s got I’m happy to say that I’m staying in the U.K.
The money I was going to spend relocating and building our dream villa I’ll be spending wisely on building a much bigger house with a 50+ car garage back in Blighty.
Great news for those of us who are looking forward to visiting your museum when you open it! laugh

But more importantly I hope it works best for you. thumbup

Jesus that WhatsApp message! yikes
Oh yeah that’s just a snippet of what we usually talk about, that boy can get me ANYTHING!!
I’m not even talking st here, he can literally get me anything I want. His friend list is unbelievable, he has Elton Johns 512tr, he knows him personally.
He’s got some of Rod Stewart’s cars too, knows him too.
I think he’s forgot more people than I actually know. It’d be great to get him on here but he’s just not that kind of guy.
I’ll get him on my YouTube channel one day, when his Pista arrives. I think it’s the most specced Pista Ferrari have made yet.

Another note... My Ella got her first Lambo at 13month old for Christmas.. Nothing beats seeing her enjoying life !
Love that pic, that’s what life’s all about. You definitely should be proud of yourself.

That’s how I’m trying to get around planning haha.
But seriously I’ll have everyone round as long as they donate to a charity.
The show pieces will be the 250 swb and the Singer DLS which I’ll happily auction rides off, as long as people pay to a worthy cause.
I’m hoping to launch my own website with lots of footage of passengers in the new year all for charity.
I’d really love everyone to get behind it so we can truly make a difference in this world.

Might have just found a good F50 in the U.K.
Supplied to Wilmslow new, always been in the U.K.
3,000kms from new, 1 owner, 1 of only 8 made in Rosso Maranello, 1 of only 5 left as 3 have been crashed. Never painted, all original.
Just waiting for a price now.
Had a deal on an F40 going through but the history was a bit ropey so pulled out.
Nothing on the LFA Nurburgring as of yet. Still looking though.
Fingers crossed. There’s another PH member with an LFA who is also after a Nurburgring edition. I reckon the values will only go one way given how few there are.

Pete, I've followed this thread (and the old one) since the beginning. Fantastic stuff, a real pleasure to read. Top bloke and an amazing life you lead.

The only motoring related gift for me this Xmas was from me, to me. And inspired by you! A 595 Competizione as a 2nd car, so not quite as hard-core as yours but still a brilliant little motor.

Mate that is one good looking 595, love the colour.
As Christmas presents go, I think that’s the best one I’ve seen anyone get this year, well done.
As much as you’ll want to rag it because they’re like a go kart just be careful on the roads as I’m sure they’ll be greasy. Happy motoring

Yeah they only made 50 I think, I’m pretty sure there’s only 45 left in existence too as I think 3 have been crashed, 1 is locked away in Toyota HQ and 1 is being used for testing at the Nurburgring currently for the next gen LFA. That’s been hacked up and modified too much to ever resell.

You put so so much into this thread, charity work, community etc I think it’s very admirable.

Now I’ve noticed you have said you are going to build a place here to live in. I’m sure a man of your means (and property experience) can do this by just paying people, however as somebody who is 90% through building his own forever home, finally I feel like I can offer something back.

If you intend to get involved in managing the property build yourself and want any help, advice or just a sounding board when you are at the end of your tether over choosing sockets or lights or why the fk will the plumber just not come back and finish his bit then feel free to PM me and let’s exchange details.

On another note, reading your last thread and this one really inspired me. Reading how you post about giving back gave me the final push I needed. Using my career gained skills in tech over signed up to volunteer for 3 x 3 day workshops next year, helping kids from poor backgrounds get an insight into a career in tech and I’m hoping to inspire 1 or 2 of them to use their passion in the future and hopefully improve their lot in life. So thanks for the threads and ultimately the inspiration!

Thanks for the advice and the offer, I think I’ll be ok though. I own my own property company so if the plumber never turned up I’d be a bit confused haha. How’s your build been so far?
You happy with the results so far?

And fantastic to read about your up coming charity work. Love that you’re going to help so many children.
Trust me, it might seem boring or a waste of time at first but once you see that what you’ve done has really made a difference, then it becomes addictive. Thank you for helping.

You should see the cars Rob offers me, he’s a big player in the Ferrari world, like a really big player. I’ll try to get him on here one day but I doubt he’ll go for it. Very chilled guy.
Well, what else has he offered you? tongue out

That's actually unreal, altough I'd imagine you get offered cars you already have one of such as F12 TDF & Speciale Aperta all the time?

It’s been amazing and stressful in equal measure! So many mistakes by the main contractor costing me time (and them money). We are now half way through the second fix stage, but when I loiter around long enough lisening to the lads they are being paid late, or out of the MD’s personal account. So I’m worried about giving them more cash! This is on account of another job refusing to pay them due to issues so they’ve a £30k hole to fill.

On the plus side though the house will be amazing once finished. The quality is great and it’s everything we could ever wish for in a house. It’s been great to make all the small decisions that make it perfect for us, and of course we can choose all the nice finishing touches.

Compared to buying a house, it’s an incredible experience and one I will never regret!

Can imagine in an alternate universe...

Rob: "got '98 Astra 1.6 Club 123k miles"
2MC: "wot color brother?"
Rob: "lease white. Will take £350"
2MC: "you spoil me brother. Can't do until Jan will pay 275"

Oh yeah, you should see what I get offered from Ferrari direct, like the Monza SP2, the 812 SF, 488 Pista or the Pista Spider.

Oh yeah don’t pay them anymore until they’ve done what they are supposed to do, no matter what sob stories you hear. Builders do this a lot.
What’s the sq ft you’re building to?
