Pointless unless you're chasing big power, as are decats.

I am chasing power but not putting new turbos or anything like that but doing remap/tip/front mount

The difference is likely to be trivial. A couple of HP most likely. Better sticking the money away for a K04.

How easy is it to fit a front mount intercooler on a MK4 do you have to do much chopping to the front bumper

Don't won't it to stick out and look stupid has anyone got any experience of fitting it to a 1.8t going to be remapping it so starting to do engine mods hopefully with a bit of money and time hoping for around 240bhp which is a ko3s limit really

The K04 in my Leon made it feel much quicker, but I found it had quite a bit of turbo lag. Probably best going for forged internals with a K04, although the Leon was good for up to 300 before you needed forged pistons.

For linear power delivery, I'd stick with the K03. Are Leon 225 Brembos an easy enough conversion?

What's people option on sports cats really don't want a decat but is it worth getting a sports cat
A few years a go I had a 1.8T AGU. So k03.
I had it mapped my R-Tech. Massive improvement.
I fitted a supersize TIP. Made the turbo spool quicker.
I Fitted a THS FMIC. Introduced lag. Removed.
Fitted one of the eBay 3” decats. Made the turbo spool quicker. Only removed when car was sold.

The above are nice cheap mods. Stick with the standard I/C. It’s simple but just drill a few large holes in the arch liner behind the cooler as from the factory there is nowhere for the air to go.

Ok cool will keep that in mind mate already have the front mount so will fit that someone else said it's a bit more laggy but a bit better once on boost
