If you're going to use a k04 then you will also need the intake hose and maf sensor housing as theyre larger on k04 equipped cars. A hybrid k03/k03s is pointless.
Re the cooler, I aren't sure. On the k04 equipped cars the inlet manifold is the other way around, so you may need to get inventive with the pipework. Or maybe see if you can get an intake manifold from a k04 equipped car.

Really not sure what to do have the aum engine code if I get that remapped with supporting mods am looking at around 210 but really not sure how quick that will feel
Not very quick i had a stage 2 revo aum and nothing compared to a leon,mk6 gti, focus st etc doesnt stand a chance.https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2...
£600 delivered to your door bam engine 225 standard, comes with ecu conversion kit to run on your golf too.
Hybrid turbo will set you back 400/500 for a decent hybrid plus map, exhaust, intercooler etc
You really are better off fitting a bam engine if it's power you're looking for!
Cupra R has the same intercooler it just has 2 of them, and they’re terrible on the LCR/S3/TT also.
Only efficient option is a true front mount intercooler.
A ko4-02x turbo kit shouldn’t be hard or expensive to come by like people say (the linked engine for example). ‘Easiest’ way to 250-260hp.

OK cheers mate for the inputOnly efficient option is a true front mount intercooler.

Yeah forget any big BHP numbers without an FMIC and a K04, although the K04 brings in turbo lag, quite noticeable on my old Leon, something that I imagine could've been improved with a better map. Personally I wouldn't fit a K04, I'd keep lower numbers and the better refinement. I regret not putting the Leon back to 225 when I had it in all honesty.

Is 230-240 a realistic figure for a healthy aum with supporting mods??
Yes, but you would need hybrid turbo or a t28..injectors,decat and full exhaust, new maf housing, sealed cold air intake (a proper one!) Front mount intercooler and fuel pump.
Oh and a new clutch, boost would have to be aggresive on the map to make those figs so would basically be very harsh and undriveable.
