Er, nope, all diesels have a DMF, they can be converted to a solid flywheel but you sacrifice a smooth idle, I'd ask a couple of other places to quote.
I did think it was a bit odd but that's apparently what their supplier said.

The Focus is being traded in against another (newer) Focus. It has been a very good car and very dependable and it was not an easy decision to make, however partly due to the nag factor from Mrs Eyersey and partly due to not wanting it to become one bill after another I feel it is maybe best to change now. I will start a new thread for the new car when I collect it on the 24th.

Good choice, but will be a bugger to keep clean!! smile
Thanks Bobbers, yes I know black is a bugger to keep clean laugh

I wanted the 1.5 diesel in either Focus or C Max flavour as I've heard a lot of stories of problems with the 1.6, the newer engine seems more reliable. I've had Ford's since I first got a car, first was a 1994 Fiesta Equipe, then a 2006 Fiesta Style, then the 2007 Focus and from the 24th a 2015 Focus.

From what I can tell the 1.5 TDCi is based on the 1.6 TDCi, with a slightly smaller bore. Luckily that's the 8-valve engine from 2011 and the injectors in the side which are very reliable, unlike the 16-valve engine before then that I wouldn't touch with a fifty-foot pole!
I wouldn't touch the 16v 1.6tdci either. One of my workmates has a 1.5tdci Focus and loves it.

Thanks Bobberoo, I've done over 700 miles in the new Focus already though over 600 of that was a run down to Somerset yesterday
