They certainly are, I wasn't sure if the mattress would fit in but it did.

Booked in for oil change, 2 tyres and MOT on the 26th June, I know there's the extensions but I'm not happy about leaving the MOT for another 6 months.

A wise choice I think, at least you know it's done and the car's roadworthy!!

Yes I agree it's better to get it done sooner rather than later. Also it avoids it falling right on Christmas as well.

You're welcome! Hope the paint did not leak everywhere!

(I have 2 rattle cans, but couldn't post them as they make a noise like a rattle can and the post office would scrap the lot)

That paint was made to the colour spec of my car after it was keyed, I touched up and sanded back lots, but could still see the scratch from up close - but it looked better than the keymark down deep into the metal.

No the paint hasn't leaked thank you. Just been fitting the one you sent, looks nicer than the scratched original.

What voltage are you running when the engine is at - say 7k rpm? (or 2, you choose...)

I know mine ate bulbs for breakfast! (and the S-Max needs the entire front bumper / sensors removed before I can pull the headlight to pull the bulb.)

Have you considered a longer life bulb or LED? (A proper fitting LED should get the same light pattern, so no problems there, if you are happy)

I've no idea what voltage it's running at, will have to get it checked. I'll try long life bulbs and see if that makes a difference, thanks Peanut Gallery

I confess to never using them, but these have a 4 year warranty.

https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/osram-ultralife-642...

I mean the warranty probably says 4 years of never being switched on at all, but hey!

Thank you Peanut Gallery I've ordered a pair now. While I'm on the subject of lights, It looks like the high level brake light has blown as well, is it a case of replacing a bulb or does the whole unit have to be replaced?

I think that the high level brake light is actually 5 separate push in style bulbs, you may want to check your earth points as it sounds like you may have some earthing issues, unfortunately there's several of them!!!

Headlight bulb changed again and I've also had a go at touching in some of the worst scratches with the touch in paint Peanut Gallery kindly gave me. The paint seems to be a good match, just a shame the same can't be said about my skills of using a touch in brush neatly lol.

How easy is a DIY wing replacement on Foci? The rust spot on the lower section of the drivers wing is getting worse and I'm wondering if it would be worth looking out for a secondhand wing in the right colour and fit it myself if it's an easy enough job.

Very easy, just remember to put the bonnet down to make access to the bolt at the base of the A pillar/ windscreen easier, I think it's two on the edge of the wing in the door shut, a couple between the bumper and wing, 5 I think along the top edge under the bonnet, and a couple under the car, tells you how to do it in the Haines manual!!!
