I have no experience in selling a motorcycle/scooter.

Is there a recommended valuation site? Ideally completely on-line and not requiring a phone call.

Any recommendation on a selling site (ebay seems the obvious choice but I don't mind paying a little more for a better experience)

Its actually a Vespa 125 I'm selling if that makes a difference to best selling site.

Thanks.

Sold 2 bikes with ease through ebay, a Vespa and a MT125.

I expected both of the above to attract pond life, but all people I dealt with with genuine and good people.

If you get the odd message through ebay with not the best English or "text" chat don't dismiss... I thought the worst but it was a guy who first language was not English and turned out to be genuine top bloke.

Stick a reserve of what you are comfortably willing to accept and away you go... both auctions ended up with way more that what I was expecting. Try it.

Re valuation, just look through the usual channels, Autotrader, ebay, here and see what you are comfortable selling at.

Good luck.

Ebay is fine, just write a decent description and try to take some nice photo's, if there are any marks or points of interest try to highlight those, in my experience being as honest as possible is the best policy.

As for valuation, go on to Autotrader and try to find your make model and year and see what others are being advertised for, if they are via a trader they will probably be higher due to their overheads and they may be offering a warranty, which you won't, but that should give you are idea of what price to pitch it at.

If you are keen to get a minimum amount then set that as your reserve.

If you are a long term lurker on PH like me, then you can advertise on PH for a month for free.
