I've no idea what the difference is laugh

But the for the sizes I need; I could only see the PS4's anyway

I see you’ve been on the E39 M5 Touring thread.

I think you should be a man and ‘M5’ it.

You payin? winklaugh

The idea has been there; but TBH I wouldn't want to go back to a manual in a car this size; I love my touring for an easy drive/get in and go etc smile

I'd have the touring alongside an M5 saloon though for sure

Nor do I! I think the Supersport is more of a summer/fair weather tyre. Where as the PS4 is a better all rounder whilst matching most of the performance of the Supersport. The only comparisons I can find are with the PS4S which is a different kettle of fish.

Regarding an M5 conversion, a channel called speed academy on YouTube are doing one on a touring. Seems no easy feat to do properly.

It's not; and that's why it doesn't interest me in reality (unless I won a lot of £££)!

I've been following them since they started the project and it is very interesting, but daunting too!

And TBH with the condition my touring is in and all the work I've done to it; it needs to stay as is really. It'd be a waste of 1 of only 2 Jap import 530i Sport touring's in the UK IMO, to rip it apart and convert it to an M5 touring...

Style 66s and PS4 tyres dropped off today with my pal to be fully stripped, refurbished and then powdercoated thumbup

Will update with what colour I've gone for when I get them back. It's nothing special smile

Dan, were 32s an option with these in non-staggered? I'm thinking of changing my 66s for a set.

Yes, 17x8 as well

But staggered alloys fit the touring fine, you just need to run 255/40/17 tyres on the rears, if you get the 17x9 rear alloys etc smile

I love Style 32s, but would only want them in 18" on my touring, I really like the Style 66s as they have great access for being able to clean the alloy properly without having to remove it wink

Ok ta. I'll keep an eye out for a 'straight' set but it's not a priority.

There's usually a good few of them out there pal; could be cheaper to buy them in singles or doubles smile

Just ensure they're off the E39 so they have the correct centre bore etc...

Ask someone like Simon Garland on Facebook. (trusted breaker of BMW 5 series cars); he's on eBay too:

Collected my refurbed 66s with PS4s fitted....

Just a taster wink

Need to wash them and wax them now; weather forecast is back to winter this weekend and into next week, so not rushing to fit them just yet. The winters get another week of use, for now  laugh

Can recommend carbon collective ceramic coating for protecting the wheels. Recently had mine refurbished and the level of protection has impressed so far.

See your a fan of the autoglym polar seal. I've recently been using Bilt Hamber touch on-its a very similar product. Apply with a foam Lance or can be diluted in a bucket. Gives about a month of protection. Also comes in handy sachets too.

Thanks; I've got Poorboys wheel sealant wax; so will probably use that for now. It's worked really well in the past and TBH my car gets washed weekly (wheels only at a minimum) and with the ultra low miles I'm doing currently; they'll be clean anyways laugh

Yes; big fan of the Polar Seal; it does a great job and so easy to apply thumbup

Looks good. What colour did you go for in the end? Are they Ferric grey?

Style 66s refurbished in Ferric Grey fitted biggrin

17x8 straight set, sat on 15mm hubcentric spacers, fitted with 235/45/17 XL rated Michelin PS4 tyres

All 4 wheel arches have been scrubbed clean and the arch liners treated too smile Sad, I know, but good to get rid of all the built up cack in there from over winter and pleased to say there isn't a sport of rot or corrosion in any of them at all biggrin
