Dear God, forgive my sins…

I’ve ordered ATE brake discs & pads from AUTODOC, please let them arrive in a) a timely manner and b) be the correct parts biggrinlaugh
In my experience you’ll be fine.
You've had the opposite of me then... I've ordered from them 3 times, well, 4 now... In 3 orders; they got something wrong in each order!

I've used Autodoc. I've found them slow to deliver but the correct parts were sent. I only order from them if I want parts that I'm not in a hurry for and they're the cheapest.

I ordered TRW front arms from them for my E90 M3 because they were a third of the price for literally the same parts as OEM just with the BMW logo ground off, and in a TRW bag instead of a BMW one. Happy to wait a bit for savings like that.
That I can understand; just never had a good experience with Autodoc, same with ECP to be honest laugh

Fingers crossed this order will be fine thumbup

This must be the best e39 touring in the country now Dan, you've practically rebuilt it!
It's getting there biggrin

Just the rear SLS bags to replace, sort an upgraded BM54 amp, get the 16:9 screen sorted (a few dead pixels); probably get a re-trimmed steering wheel and that's it done laugh

I’ve not had issues with Autodoc, but as you said they take ages to arrive so they’re only good for preventative stuff not emergency.

I’ll be checking them out for TRW arms for my 130 later in the year thumbup

That's it; I'm not desperate for the bits I've ordered; but still hope they land with me in a sensible time!

If I REALLY need suspension parts ASAP; Moog are my go-to brand and I can get them from General Traffic (my local motorfactors); but BMWMotormec & C3BMW generally send next day for their Meyle/Febi stuff etc

Funnily enough; it was TRW arms that I had numerous failures with on my E65; all got sent back and refunded under warranty; all replaced with Moog again!

Small update:

- E39 M5 rear ARB ordered via BMW Cotswolds
- Purple Powerflex poly bushes for them ordered via eBay also & I've new Meyle rear drop links to fit too
- ATE 'Powerdisc' discs and Ceramic pads for the rear to go on at the same time
- Febi prop bearing to be fitted too...

Cars booked in on 23rd so I can abuse my pals ramps & his skills to get all that lot fitted

Once that's done and I've got all my stuff back into our new garage; I'll be getting the car up on axle stands; all 4 wheels off & wheel arch liners out so I can clean all those areas and apply the Lanoguard underseal.

It's this kit I've gone for: https://www.lanoguard.co.uk/collections/moto/produ...

This stuff has been popping-up on my social feeds a lot recently. I watched one of the videos and it seems surprisingly easy to apply, and with a decent finish too.

Its those and the reviews that won me over

I didn't want to go down the route of the Bilt Hamber stuff, or similar. I don't want think black goo all over the underside of the touring laugh

There's still quite a bit of the factory underseal on the underneath of the car; but hardly any where they always rot; so whilst it's corrosion free now, if I get it thoroughly washed, dried and sealed. Hopefully; that'll stave off any corrosion happening; well, certainly the life span of my ownership...

Just to bring this back up too; just had a random email from Parcelforce to say my Autodoc order is due to be delivered this evening

This is the first time the tracking has updated; just shows you how ste their tracking system is. Doesn't work/update until it's in this country and on its way to you! mad

It's also often the case that the couriers don't provide updates to the vendor.

Contrarily, I use Autodocc to have stuff sent to me in Luxembourg. I think they're very good.

In my recent experience, any shipping to / from the UK has been st with updates or very slow to be moved anywhere, especially going TO the UK.

Well from my experience; well before Brexit kicked in, Autodocs shipping & tracking was always crap and rarely updated until the day it's due to be delivered!

Fingers crossed they've got my simple order of ATE discs & pads right biggrin

Oh; some new scratches discovered too, by accident, as I was lying on the drive sorting a power cable out for the new garage; just happened to look up and there it was... furious

Obviously a car park scratch; it should polish out; but really REALLY pisses me off that other folk cannot be careful. mad

I mean I tend to park well away from other cars; but sometimes that's not always possible... :rolleyes
