Lovely, I can see these getting very collectable.
Not for a very long time. It takes Jaguars decades to start adding value. Much rarer 70s stuff is only just starting to rise in value now Lovely, I can see these getting very collectable.
Re your other post, I tested several prior to buying this one; none had aluminium trim.

The alluminium trim was standard and wood was a cost free option

XJR’s are on the up
A good XJR 6 is £10k now if the mileage is sensible, same for XJR8, in fact I’ve seen a couple fetch close to £20k
The 351 cars will never appreciate but the 350 and 358 cars are holding strong. A decent super V8 with sub 50k mileage is commanding £20k as well
They are all very mileage sensitive though, anything sub 50000 miles is on the up. All of the stuff above 100000 miles is not gonna make money, but they represent great value

XJ Coupe and XJ-S prices bottomed out in the late 1980s, were static until the mid 1990s, and have been rising for more than twenty years. You may find it of interest to note that a total of 8,378 XJ Coupes were produced in a little over two years:

and 10,854 Supercharged X350 / 358s, of all varieties over a six year period, the 358 being manufactured for two of those.:

By all means, have it your own way about the aluminium trim, but may I point out that of the nine X350 / 358 XJRs currently for sale on autotrader, just one X350 has the aluminium, and no 358s at all.
