Looks very clean.

How much did the steering wheel set you back? I am toying with the idea of getting my steering wheel done too.
Wheel costs £165 from royal steering wheels, fantastic job!

Thanks for the kind words, it’s going to become slightly more focused with a clubsport theme so half cage in the rear but all carpeted etc so it’s still clean and very usable

That is a great price and for quality workmanship and product.

Did they supply the wheel? Or did you get a spare one and you traded it over?

Traded over, paid the additional surcharge and once he receives the wheel back you get the refund, easy process

Gave the shed a quick going over, trying to fall back in love with the car. Car does very few miles so debating moving it on and getting something slightly more focused. Unsure yet but would have around 14k to play with.....

I'd be interested if you are selling.

What you fancy next? Something more track orientated?

Looking at fitting a mechanical oil pressure gauge, stack one so it matches the other gauge and matches stock dials, where is the best place to tap into for this? Sandwich plate ?

This week car will get a new battery, full detail, wheels off to clean the coilovers, vibra engine mounts installed and fit new seats.

Until covid 19 is over it's currently sorn 😴

Gave the Audi a wee bit of love today, coilovers, brakes and arches all cleaned. Tomorrow will be giving the car a good going over, new battery fitted as the original one finally gave up!

Seems a common issue amongst similar performance VAG models. Very quick- especially when turned-up, but so ruthlessly efficient that the chassis’ lack the fun factor.

E92 M3 a great car- it’s N/A however and needs revving to extract its best- worth considering if you are now used to boost.

Did you get the Haldex pump in? Assume this has Gen 4?
Last year I had a pre facelift 8P S3. Hugely capable car. You really could feel that Haldex working.
I used the AudiSport FAQ for must change consumables. Did everything excluding the cam tensioner. It cost a small fortune, especially with a full set of PS4’s.

I could just not get comfy in it. I’m only just over 6ft and my head was on the roof. The sunroof cassette made it worse.
I had to move it on as I started a new job. 25mpg wouldn’t cut it!
I can’t think what you’d replace it with. I can’t imagine a MK7 R would feel much better. And you would probably need to do the same mods.

Gave the Audi S3 a bit of loving this weekend, I was debating selling it however having the car for 5 years it’s pretty much worthless now and finding something this clean and capable for the same money won’t happen!

I’ve decided to go for a more capable car so will have a rear cage fitted, get the pole positions in and change coilovers for more focused set up and run some camber! It will still be a very very clean build, so carpet the rear etc

Depending on budget, I'd recommend looking at KW's V1 / V2 / V3 or if you're going more towards track, their clubsport range.

They're not cheap, but are very well proven and would be a bit cheaper than Ohlins.

More capable and focussed for what though?

Cages + camber aren’t going to make it faster in 95% of situations in the real world- regular track use perhaps

Yes more focused for track use. Its rarely used anyway so might as well enjoy it. Will still remain clean with all the creature comforts
