Great car, and what a rollercoaster of emotions! I felt them just reading the whole thread, I can't imagine how you must have been feeling.
Hope it's back on the road soon!
Thanks ! It's certainly been a series of highs and lows and back to highs again.Hope it's back on the road soon!
I honestly can't wait to get it back, hopefully in time for some good weather.
I suppose that every cloud has a silver lining in that pretty much everything will be brand new, including the weak points (Roof seal, rear sub-frame and the unknown to me previous accident damage) so, fingers crossed, I'll have many more years with it. Plus I've not put many miles on it this year
That will definitely change when I get it back though, I'll probably book a day off and go for a mahoosive
Finally got a decision. The wheel can't be repaired and Admiral have given me 350 quid for the wheel as cash, so I needed to find a replacement set.
After much umming and ahhing (I really wanted the brabus monoblock F, but couldn't justify the price).
I've always loved these as a wheel so eventually I went for some BBS CH-R's in satin anthracite. They're being shipped straight to IRG for fitment and hopefully I should have the car back 1st week of July, just in time for it to piss down for 3 months..
Should look something like this, these are 19's but I went for 18's to keep my existing tyres, which are basically brand new (6mm all round + a new one)
I'll be collecting the other 3 old wheels, think they'd be worth much on ebay ? Just wondering if I could possibly recoup some of the cost.

Is it home yet?
No not yet, was supposed to be last tuesday but at a late stage they found out that the sealtbelt was throwing an error so they had to order a new one from Germany. It was fitted yesterday and with a bit of luck I should pick it up on monday...Will be 5 months tomorrow (19th) since the accident !juice said:

Blimey - that's ages. The good thing is that you'll have forgotten how good it sounds! It's finally back home, just picked it up.
Looks immaculate again and although it was a shame I couldn't get an AMG V 16 spoke replacement wheel, the BBS CH-Rs look great imo and really suit the car. Need to take the protective tape off though
Come 9pm when I finish work, I'm back out again for a drive.
Absolutely buzzing !!

Glad you’ve finally got it home - that’s been a looong time!
The wheels look great
Thanks Bud ! The wheels look great
Yes, it's been quite the saga...Just happy to have it back and a new subframe/suspension/wing to boot.
Gonna book it into SWRP next month to get it Dinitrol'd and protect all the new bits and that bracket on the front wing/bumper.

Just the fronts look to have a lot of stretch - perhaps it's the photo
