Not sure about the exact engine number but it’s an R172 on a 2013 car.

Haven't updated this for ages !
I'm off to cars on the green (downside abbey) tomorrow so decided to give it some tlc

Auto finesse dynamite (TFR)
2 bucket wash
Clay bar
Then my all time fave product for black cars. Bilt Hamber AutoBalm. Brilliant stuff, it's amazing at hiding swirl marks, which on a black car that's nearly 16 years old stand out like a sore thumb

Some autosol and fine wire wool on the exhaust.

Arms ache a bit now though, but well worth the effort. Came out well in the end

So I've had an alert on ebay for almost a year now for a missing AMG V 16 spoke rear wheel and it just popped up !!

All mine now, so I have a full set again of the AMG wheels ! Needs a refurb (as do my other 3 being that they are painted obsidian black)

Oa (I think was after a set of SLK55 AMG wheels) so there is one option

Personally I think you should get the originals refurbished and then sell me the CHR's

Easiest decision ever... OEM AMG spokes look fantastic on the 55. Google any random pic on the internet for confirmation

Polished silver should look best with a black car

Lovely car that and so glad to see it got repaired and I actually prefer these wheels on it. The anthracite works better I reckon too.

Sadly not even just an AMG thing but a 7G gearbox thing, I had to have the conductor plate replaced on my S Class. Oddly it had logged a code but not shown any of the symptoms of a conductor plate failing. Drove fine and not stuck in P or just 2nd gear. Thankfully under warranty with the garage I bought from but we agreed to go halves as technically it wasn't faulty but would likely be at some point in the future. And yes theft related parts are a pain in the butt!! haha

Just wondering on the finish. Are they diamond cut or just painted ? (For when I get them refurbed) You see, when I bought my car the alloys were painted obsidian black so I've never seen what an original alloy is supposed to look like !
