Update

It's been a while since I've updated this thread, some good progress has been made on the 182 with the ITB's. We decided on adding a couple more items to the 'To-Do' list whilst the car was in such a way.

First of which was the Epas conversion, certainly a tricky thing to do with limited space and seized bolts. Nevertheless we managed to get this finished last week, not managed to test it yet as the battery has been dead since Christmas!

Couple of other things include;

Custom Dials
Battery Kill Switch
Shift Light
Go Pro Mounts

I've also managed to get hold of GEN90 ECU, this has been fitted with a base map, I suspect with some tweaks this will be enough to get us to EFI in the near future for mapping.

As you can see from the images below, it's starting to look like a working car again. I'll put together a spec list once completed but I think for the moment I need to stay off the PMS website.

Mores updates this weekend. Please excuse the messy wires, I've not removed anything until we fire it up.

Update - Bodies on.

Made some decent progress on this the last couple of weeks, a number of jobs are completed and the car is back on the ground with the bumpers and wheels fitted.

The following tasks have been completed;

Epas Conversion
New Alternator
PAS Delete
Air Con Delete
Oil Catch Tank
New Dials
Gen90 ECU

Hopefully in the next week or so we'll attempt to start it with a base map and book a date for mapping.

Here's a couple of images for now, excuse the messy wires.

Thanks for the kind words, I can assure you it's not that clean yet!

It's one of those jobs, it's never quite finished. I've seen your thread as well with your 172, looks great!

Thank you, it's taken best part of 4 years. Keep thinking what's next, but can't seem to part with it yet.

Yes definitely! I've only been once or twice but it's a great track. I've followed your ST progress on here too, fantastic work!

I hope so! Although power wasn't my plan initially. I just haven't seen many ITB'd 182's

Most are turbo conversions. So I wanted to try something different, Mapping should be around October time!

Thank you for the kinds too smile

Update - Photoshoot

I spent a couple of days over the BH weekend cleaning the car inside & out, I can't honestly remember the last time the interior (what's left of it!) followed by a full deep clean on the exterior. I wasn't expecting the paintwork to come up that well, especially with the track abuse it's had these last couple of years.

I think it came up rather well in all honesty. I do have a couple of plans for the interior; Possibly new seats, extending the roll cage. Small exterior changes like new headlights, fog light surrounds and new splitter. Just to freshen up the front end.

I did take the car to C&M a couple of weeks ago which was great, I also attended the Bicester Scramble today. (Pictures to follow)

Here's some pictures from a mini shoot locally. I'm hoping to get some rolling shots soon and video's of the ITB noise. Which is great!

What happened to this car? Is there a new owner?

The car was sold earlier this year. A couple of guys came up from Kent area I think. I’d like to think it’s still around and enjoying regular track time.

It was replaced with an M2C.

How hard can it be.
You bought a car. From the verb To BUY.
You brought it back ......
From the verb To BRING.
Come on. If we don’t pick up on spelling & grammar like this we won’t have any forums.
Oh dear, Walt is upset again.. doing this in a RR thread is sad.

@op, car is looking great, hope it went to a good home.
