I feel (some of) your pain, and remain grateful you've shared the process with us. Ha, at the moment the shine is definitely more matte than gloss, a few things have happened recently that are affecting my joy around the ownership of the car (people related rather than the car itself). Last night I ordered a new set of fuel pumps and filter as there was an offer on. If I don't need them then they'll sell. If I do need them then I've got a bargain. I'm hoping to do the fuel pump pressure test either tonight or at the weekend, but now that the car is SORN'd it won't get up to temperature as quick for the fuel pump test.

I had some pics taken of the car at Caffeine and Machine (The Bowl) in January. The car just looks so good in them.
I taxed the car on Friday and did a bit of local pottering around. I have missed how good it sounds, and I only parked it up for 6 weeks!

I had 2 back in the day, a silver one like yours and then a black one. I bought my first one after seeing the Clarkson review
After all of the angst about the design at the time I think it has aged really well, it looks great and on balance I think the silver looks better than black.

My favourite colour is still Interlagos Blue I think, it photo's well. Silverstone looks good in the metal. They have definitely aged well. I'd still like to colour change it, but that's a lot of money, and I'd rather save that money in the hope that Evolve complete the work they're doing with DCT managed by the E60 TCU as that will be a game changer.
That and extra power once I have found the missing horses, hopefully this weekend!
