OP putting the safe or unsafe argument to one side, what's the reason you have chosen to go with stretched tyres?? Is it purely aesthetics or does the suspension drop dictate stretched tyres are needed to clear the arches.

Loving the build btw.
It’s just a type of look I suppose.. getting the arch to sit between the tyre and rim when it’s on full drop, being able to drive lower than you would do with “normal tyres” or fitting rims that wouldn’t fit your car without some sort of tyre stretch to clear the arches... people do it for all different reasons really...
I can understand it’s not to everyone’s taste and looks rather weird.. as that’s exactly what I thought when I First saw it, but I wasn’t bashing on people’s threads saying how stupid I thought it looked or started questioning them on the safety of the modification...
the more I came across this look, the more I kind of liked the look of it and wanted to do the same.
I’m a fan of stance to a certain extent and I know there are people that take it to extremes which starts to look a bit over the top in my opinion.

I think the non stance guys are just pricks really, can’t keep their opinion to them selves.
They have to throw their opinion at every opportunity of how they think it looks and how “unsafe” it is without having any knowledge in the matter.
Having been in the stance community for many years, it’s one of the most respectful and humble car community’s from owner to owner and respectful in a manner of how to drive and respect their car and the road.
Yet the ones who bash on it are happy to do 120 in a 60 because their car is “safe”...
Funny

Good answer. The looks not for me but i appreciate we're all different and all that, unfortunately haters gonna hate, others will think their opinions are always right. No matter, great build and impressive skills. Looking forward to seeing it finished.

Little update..
Finally come round to getting started on the turbo conversion.
I’m using Chris @ Lightningmotorsport for anyone that wants to know.

We are hoping to achieve around 2-250bhp with a low boost setup and a side mounted turbo.

So far I got the engine out and dropped of to Chris after discussing a few options, he’ll be giving the engine a little refresh, complete strip down, re-paint, new seals, bearings, gaskets, filters etc etc..
Will hopefully have some progress and updates soon of his Progress on my engine.

Also purchased a universal intercooler which fit pretty well behind the bumper.
Only required 2 holes to be bolted in, 5 minute job done.

I’ve also recently purchased a clean R34 GTT which I came across for a good price. this will be replacing the 350z.

162km 1998 Rb25neo
Fairly standard example.
Drives really well, will be certainly doing a lot of work to this, GTR bodykit, wheels and of course more power smile
Not sure if I should start a build thread for this one as I feel it’s going to be very slow as the fiesta will be hoovering all my money.. :’)

Great work OP I love reading threads like this,
As others have said the car and some of the mods wouldn't be to my (old farts) taste but I'm very envious of the skill and commitment needed, fair play to you.
Ignore the negative comments and keep the updates coming please!

That will be quite a beast with 250bhp. These cars are very lightweight.

Hello.
well I recently ordered a custom spec of CCW wheels from the US for the fiesta, took about 8 weeks for production, but here they are.

Apart from the above updates on my fiesta, I’ve been focusing more on the new daily (R34 GTT)
New Wheels, brakes, timing belt, oil change, a lot of carbon bits yet to be fitted and also waiting for some wide body panels to arrive for it. smile I’d assume people will be more interested in following the R34s journey over the fiesta :’) so may carry on posting updates..

TBH I've not been a fiesta or R34 fan. HOWEVER you're doing a very good job of changing my mind! I'm really liking this thread and what you're doing with both, please keep the up-dates coming - this is what being a car fan is all about!! thumbupthumbup

Yep, LOVE seeing your updates, doesn't matter which of your cars it's about, I'd rather see someone doing their own thing like you are than the piles of posts about BMW'S, Porsche's and Audi's!!!! Keep up the good work!!

Not my cup of tea but I think it looks great, if I lived next door to you I’d be popping my head round the corner to see what you were up to next and probably end up giving you a hand, just as a matter of interest how many times have you had the engine out of it.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks everyone for the comments.
I’ve actually only had the engine out this once, I tackled all the engine bay work with the engine still in although I will admit it would of been easier if I’d have taken it out before starting as it would of made things a lot less stressful not needing to get in really Awquard positions.. :’) I was just paranoid about getting the engine out having never done it before but it was actually really easy.

Well not much is happening to the fiesta as I haven’t a unit for it to get any work done, so sadly only updates will be from the guys working on the engine.
Engine is being rebuilt currently and hopefully soon we’ll come round to the custom side manifold and turbo stuff.
I have been brainstorming some ideas to make the fiesta slightly wider front and back to create a more aggressive look and at the same time will hopefully benefit with the planned 250bhp when complete.

I’ve always been a fan of X-Pack or classic Lancia style wide body’s, so I’ve gone for something similar.
This is just a mock up.. unfortunately I won’t be tackling this job any time soon until I have a unit.
Hope you like anway..

Overall the fit is really good, just some minor adjustments needed. smile

Here’s a couple of progress shots with the engine re build

Also a lot has happened to my daily (R34) Mainly cosmetic for now as I just hate how dull the GTT looks.
Really aggressive wide body I’ve been fitting outside in the cold.. laugh

Not by any means finished, but got her in a decent position to be able to drive.

Jesus you don't mess around do you?!?!? smile
My only criticism of the kit is I don't like the top of the front wing extensions, other than that it looks properly aggressive!!!

Wow. I've just caught up. It was inevitable this thread would have it's detractors but fair play to you for returning, and even more fair play to you for your style. Love the max power R34. Takes me back to what got me into cars in the early 00's. You might enjoy the Max Power memories page.
