The most important bit everyone wants to know though. How does it sound?

Once home I adjusted the tips back to the bumper line. I just love how purposeful it looks now. ??

What’s with the R/H tailpipe moving up & down just before you rev it? Can’t work out if it’s my eyes playing tricks!

Sounds very good- just need about another 1000rpm on your rev limit now!

It’s ones of those weird frequency tricks the video does as it doesn’t actually move like that. It’s weird. Still tempted to add a full set of Vibratechnics mounts to the engine/gearbox to tighten the whole drivetrain further.

Another 1000rpm will mean new cams, valvetrain and Rod Bolt’s at a minimum. Basically a rebuild lol.

Think it’s like that weird thing when it looks like car wheels are turning backwards when they’re not.

OP. I love this car. It looks great!

Good job on the climate control panel, mine is grubby too, seems to happen to them all. Car is still coming along lovely, not too sure about those shoes you're wearing in your Instagram stories though biggrin

As an aside, someone rear ended me in my Clio 182 FF 8 weeks ago, still awaiting insurance and stuff it's a nightmare, but unsure whether to get another Clio or move to something more modern like a Fiesta ST as a daily driver. I think I'm fed up of getting into a frozen cold 16 year old car after a 12 hour nightshift. One thing's for sure though, I'll definitely miss it, been my favourite car so far.

Haha. My shoe obsession isnt quite as bad as my car obsession but it’s close. Really gutted to hear of your accident, hope you wasn’t injured too.

A new Fiesta ST is probably the ultimate do it all performance Hatch. They drive way better than the RS focus and far more entertaining, especially with a diff. They’re an incredible package and hard to beat.
However I still love my 182 and although technically the ST is better in every single way. I couldn’t trade my Clio for one.
Hope you get it sorted whichever you choose.

Apologies for the thread hijack, is anybody here a member of cliosport.net? Would somebody mind looking if any members are selling a Thule bike rack for a Clio1*2 - don't want to spend £10-12 just to find out nobodys selling one - happy to pay to renew if they are!

Nothing on there for sale at the mo mate.
The Facebook groups might be worth an ask?

I can do a stiffer lower if you want it. Those mounts are in very hard poly, they're behave like a softer mounts because of the internal honeycombing and geometery.

Im after the holy grail of next to no transmission movment with zero additional NVH.
Id like to try some VTs but not sure if id hate them, i had them on my Mini GP and they were very very harsh initially but soon bedded in and i only ever noticed the NVH at idle.

New wheels look immense! What tyres are you planning on using? I only ask as I've finally picked up a 172 and I'm just considering my options

My R888s are still healthy so will swap them over from my Speedline 2118s. These are my summer silly wheels and i have the Turinis with Michelin PS3 for wet/winter use.

Then the 2118s will be sold smile

Cracked straight on with getting them protected before fitting. Cue the KKD Revolve.

So the lunacy continues as i made the 3 hour round trip over to see Rich @ Ruislip Tyres today to get the EVOs fitted.
Exceptional service as always from him taking the upmost care in everything he does. If you're over that way i can highly reccommend him, as a good tyre fitter is like golddust these days.
Approx 3kg per corner lost with these over the 2118s fitted and i have to say, so far im rather pleased. Ive fitted new EVO Corse motorsport spec extended lug nuts too, however on the front these consume the whole stud, so i may add some longer studs here to utilise the whole thread in the lugnut.

Thank you sir, i have to agree that theh more i look at the car with them on, the more i like them.
Somehow it looks even tougher on the EVOs than it did on the 2118s.
