Just to give an idea of American stuff.

My 2010 F150 super crewcab (same length as the caddy I believe) and a RR sport on the trailer

CE60 USA

with a square plate

CE 6.0
USA
Too new for your car, sadly!
With that plate people would mistake it for a mk3 when it is actually a mk2.

I don't know why, but that sounds vaguely familiar.

I’d have changed the engine out. eBay the old one and bolt in a twin cam

How's it going with the Escalade soupdragon?!

Working overtime so you can fill it up? Been mobbed by tree hugging eco-vegans for causing global warming?

That law doesn't apply in NI though, so would get away with it.
Are you sure? Opens up a whole new universe if correct!

NI and mainland UK are the same no?
Can't see the dvla changing their rules for that.

It's the DVLNI in Northern Ireland.

As much as NI wants to be exactly the same as the rest of the UK there are subtle differences... like Driving licence agencies and abortion.

When I got points in England, they were not able to put them on my NI licence (in 2012).

Same rules in N.Ireland.

You cannot make a vehicle look newer than it is with an English age related plate.

You can with an NI one though but they don't lend themselves to good personalised number plates
