Just won a car - but not entirely happy
Discussion
This thread is an great example of the power of the internet, privacy & human behaviour:
1. The OP posts a generic statement about winning a car which was not quite what he expected
2. Within a day the competition, company involved, car, registration number, MOT history and photographs are laid out for all to see
3. The OP has done a great job of remaining calm and not getting angry with any of the negative responses whilst thanking those who were positive
However it should be clear to anyone who thinks they can post a little item on the internet that within 24 hours the full facts will be available in perpetuity for anyone on the planet to read. Just a thought....

It's quite alarming the amount of information available if you know how to look. I used to trace people for a living, I'd have an address (locally or overseas) in a matter of minutes from just basic info and using only tools in the public domain. The government access must be even more frightening.
