There are only three cars with a 6l engine on AT for less than 7k
CAT D LPG converted Cadillac Escalade for 6,995
Audi A8 W12 with 'minor faults' for 4,000
MB CL600 for 6,950
What could it possibly be ...
I probably haven't helped with your search - I was looking at completed sales on ebay rather than asking prices - they are selling for more than £5k on autotraderCAT D LPG converted Cadillac Escalade for 6,995

OP - why do you think that the car is only valued at £5k ?
Second-hand cars, especially prestige second hand can vary significantly in value depending on mileage and condition. My guess is that the "real" value is somewhere between your estimate and the Company's.
Good point - its the kind of car that could be pimped up, especially with a 6L engine. All I was using was completed listings on ebay as a guide price.Second-hand cars, especially prestige second hand can vary significantly in value depending on mileage and condition. Then it's not 'worth' 5k. I think it's only fair to use the retail price for a decent one rather than eBay sales price for potentially ratty ones ...
Its a 2003 car that would retail for around £80k to £100k depending on spec so its a very difficult one to judge. Some are asking £8-£10k for them but I don't see any completed sales at those prices. I guess it could be worth £10k if its low miles, good nick. Or maybe more if its been modified.soupdragon1 said:

Hmm the only 6.0 2003s I see on AT is a BMW 760Li at 25k and a BMW760i at 15k. Integroo said:

This is not acceptable business practice and I would think you’ve got the basis for a complaint here. You are owed 30k and have been given 5k so you appear to have been robbed of 25k you are rightly due.
Few thoughts:
- Don’t think the complaint is an Advertising Standards Authority one, but suspect Trades Descriptions Act (which has more teeth). Citizens Advice or a lawyer can advise.
- I believe the fact that the competition is free is irrelevant. In fact, retail competitions need to be free or else the providers have to meet Gambling legislation.
- I also wouldn’t accept the argument that “it was free, so stop complaining”. They’ve not just misled you, they’ve misled everyone who entered the competition, and gained your attention to their brand and activities under false pretences.
Personally, I would find some proof of the mention of 30k, write to the company concerned raising your issue, and ask for something specific by way of compensation eg 25k cash. I would state clearly that if they do not make good their error, then you will take legal action and put it in the public domain. Good luck!
I agree with this take. It's not just that they've misled you, but also anyone that entered. They presumably ran the competition to gain contact info of potential customers and/or raise their business profile. They got what they wanted but they haven't delivered what they wre giving an implied promise of in return. Pretty shady way to operate a company if you ask me.Few thoughts:
